If I could give zero stars I would was promised a discount that they refuse to give sat in pouring rain for hours because my rental wasn’t ready and on top of that had to pay out of pocket to replace a flat tire bc that’s how they gave me the truck worst rental place in Salem will NEVER rent from them again and the customer service is absolute trash I called about the discountI was promised and was told I would get a call back and waited an entire with no call when I called back the chick that promised the discount was gone for the day

They do not honor their contracts, and are never open during their scheduled hours. I booked a rental online for a pick up at 12pm for two days and the return time would be 12pm. I didn't have a car "obviously" so my 11yr old daughter and I walked 5 miles across Salem to find out they closed at 12pm and would not open until 7pm.Customer service hotline was very helpful and did compensate me for my troubles with a discount on the rental as well as reschedule my pick up time for 7pm and drop off time of 7pm two days later. When I did pick up the car the girl at the counter was rude and told me even though they were closed that she was there until almost 1pm and that's just how they do it and I should have paid attention to their scheduled hours Upon returning my car at 6pm on the second day they were again closed. I dropped the keys in the box and carried on with my life. I wake to an email saying that I was being charged for the extra 15hrs because I didn't return the car before they closed at 5pm. I was charged for the gap of time which was 5pm-8am, which was the entire time they were closed. The guy I spoke with at that rental location and was also unprofessional and told that in no way did my contract say to return by 7am because they would are closed at that time. Remember I did pick the vehicle up at 7pmI again had to call customer service which was again helpful and took the steps to remove and reimburse me the over charge.5 stars for customer service hotline operators, negative 5 stars for the location of the rental.

Absolutely horrible experience with Budget for the second time. We will not be using them again. Reservation was not available, so we had to pay more, promised multiple times to get a discount that never happened, got overcharged, and then had to unhook the car trailer ourselves that was already attached to the truck. Last year, we weren't able to get a trailer to pull the car and had to pay for double the miles. Budget has not been helpful and it is difficult to get someone over the phone. In addition, the individuals on the phone are not empathetic.

Bring a lunch, phone charger, sleeping bag and a pillow with you because you're going to have to wait all day to check-in and out.

My relative rented a large truck and trailer to move across country. They ended up being stuck on the side of the road waiting for assistance as two tires were bald and worn out. This facility never checked all the tires for safety! Unacceptable for the amount of money they charged! Go somewhere else!

I give them one star only because the desk person was super friendly. But they took over $1300 extra from me for charges from the previous renters because they didn’t check the rental in correctly. It’s been 3 months and I still haven’t gotten my money back. I have called so many times and have been down to the branch so many times. I have gotten the run around as to where my money is and when I’ll be getting it back. ???

We rented a car this last fall to take a road trip. When we went to pick up the car it wasn’t ready. Then wasn’t the car listed on the invoice. The person said she would change it in the computer and we could go ahead and leave. After driving across the state and into the next we woke up the next morning to find a bulge on the side of the front passenger tire. We went to exchange the car. The employees in Boise were very caring and helpful. We went to switch cars and saw a note on the window saying it was exchanged for a damaged rear tire. It turns out both tires were very damaged. We were horrified to find how unsafe we had been driving especially in areas with no cell service and high speeds. We could have had a serious accident, been badly injured or killed. A simple, “gee we’re sorry, here’s some money back” just feels a bit lacking in compassion and compensation,

I think this is the place that had a Wendy's restaurant that put half an eggshell in my sandwich disgusting but the truck stop part was really nice and the people there were really helpful and friendly

The person that helped me at counter was extremely nice and stayed over the closing time to help me but the car we got and once we got in it says check engine needs oil so I checked the oil and it's on low now I need to take the car back so what I'm doing is inconveniencing my time but my rental to take the car back because they didn't service it before they rented it out again

So I was impressed with how quick & simple renting a moving truck here was.....that being said that's about as far as my happiness went in regards to my experience. Out of ALL the trucks on the lot I was given the most ghetto looking truck I've ever driven, it smelled awful and it was older than Jesus. Would I rent here again...yeah. Like I said I was impressed with how easy it was.

Uhaul was significantly cheaper.Had to get two trucks, used this location many times. Got there and truck strongly smelled of cigarette smoke and was super gross and covered in bits of food. Alignment was so bad even with an empty truck you had to firmly grasp the wheel to go straight. So dissatisfied, i decided to look elsewhere for my 2nd truck. Uhaul usually is high prices but they were a lot cheaper and i was able to drop off in a small city. Budget charges almost double if you drop off in a city without a large airport so i also had to drive 3 hours to another city to save $700 with budget. Would not recommend!

Jessica at the front desk was super friendly, helpful, and efficient. We got our keys quickly and she definitely put a smile on my face with her friendly demeanor.Don't know if the location itself actually has much control over vehicle availability, but we booked online and it was super easy so we (and they) were ready to go when we got to the office just 30 minutes later.

Currently sitting here at budget for the 2nd hour. After having a reservation at 11. They did not have a trailer ready and had to have one send down; that took an hour. They have one person who actually is working and knows what she’s doing yet that still isn’t enough. The owner needs to have a few employees up front. After finally waiting for the trailer to arrive they are currently having issues with the trailer lights; after two trailers and two different trucks we still have no resolution and are just sitting here waiting…poor excuse for service. Owners don’t know how to run their business you can just tell.
