We can get our Asian cooking spices here, plus our favorite rice crackers. They also have a nice variety of sake and frozen foods. Plus the sushi man in the back... and very nice owners. It's clean as a whistle too!

An institution that's been around forever that supplies Salem-Keizer with just about any Asian food/item need. Always great snacks, grocery and drinks, not to mention cook and diningware.

My niece wanted to come here for her birthday and got lots of goodies such as a Boba kit and candies. I was excited they had soju, as I've always wanted to try it. I wish they had a bigger selection of ramen but I ended up with a few goodies.

Love this place! The couple who own the store, or at least run it, are always super helpful and very friendly.. always giving great tips for what good with the dish I'm cooking. Would highly recommend A Dong Market for anyone looking to buy some authentic Thai and Chinese ingredients

I've been stalking this place for at least a good year or two on Facebook and Yelp and Google, drooling over the pics and reviews, but never seemed to be able to order anything (I get shy about talking on the phone lol and don't judge but I do enjoy eating A LOT so I tend to go for price/quantity options) .. anywho.. I got the sushi combo- 4 pieces of maki and 3 of nigiri for like 8-9$ and boy I do not regret it. I actually got full! (I also grabbed some of the seaweed salad from the deli/fridge area too)... Fish portions were very on par for price and the pieces of maki I got were at least 1.5 times as big as most maki from other places (Ive tried literally every place in Salem) A couple of people ordered counter side while I stocked up on all the market staples I can't find at regular spots, definitely a popular hidden gem. I think I didn't take pictures so I'd have a reason to go again ;) bahaha but yeah love this place and the hype is worth it!

An interesting gem to visit. Tucked into the back of this asian grocer is a sushi counter, as well as a jewelry repair shop. So, this really should be three separate reviews...First, the market. To be honest? It's mostly pan asian with a poor stock of fresh ingredients, but some interesting (and overpriced) finds in the dry goods sections. The two other markets in town have a larger selection. The market gets a firm 3* .. at least from me.However, the sushi in the back is a gem, being both delicious and well priced. The rice is well seasoned, the fish well treated and delicate ... and a roll for six dollars is more than reasonable when the 'sushi counters' at the supermarkets in town are charging twice that. 5* . However, the hours of the sushi counter are limited and you really should call ahead. I'll head back there to post those hours.The jewelry section was closed when we visited.

Sort of a pain to park but, great if you want fresh sushi made for you (all the way in back of the store).A bit more spendy than other Asian stores in town. You can find some Japanese dominant things here more so then other places.Friendly staff and clean, bright atmosphere.

Delicious Poke! Got the tuna bowl and cucumber salad - both I'd definitely order again. While we waited on the food, I also picked up more chili and hot sauce they also had my daughters favorite Japanese green candies! Next time I'm in Salem, I'm coming back

Amazing sushi and great prices. Love the market as well. Must call in your sushi order ahead of picking up but Chef Hiroshi is incredible and the service is great!
