Put the ATM back where it was so I don't have to wait 20 years behind people in the lines that I don't need to go to that is the stupidest thing I've ever it's a great Bank

Who's the genius who thought of putting am ATM in a teller line? I have had to wait almost an hour multiple times recently just to use an ATM because there will be one single person holding up the line at the teller IN FRONT of the ATM. One of the dumbest ideas I have ever seen if you want to put the ATM there then only allow tellers on the other side

Rachel Thompson was out Loan Officer for a home we recently bought in the Roseburg, Oregon area. She was excellent, always on top of paperwork and had answers to questions we might have. Prudy Munson also worked in the office and always answered the phone when we called. This is really important when you're buying a home on a timeline and needed things to go through on time. Rachel has retired but the person who has taken her place has contacted us to make sure we had her contact info in case we needed it. Umpqua Bank has done an excellent job on our mortgage. I would definitely use them again if I needed another loan.

I needed some extra information about an automobile loan I payed off a couple of years ago that originated at Umpqua Bank. At around 4 PM there was no waiting to see a teller and Brittany Burke did an outstanding job of getting the information I needed. I have never mentioned a specific person in a review before but feel the quality service I received warrants it.

These people are only interested in helping you if you have obscene amounts of money or absurd credit scores. They are nice and accommodating right up until they find out you aren't gonna get them a fat commission or some kind of benefit. After that they lie, they obfuscate, and they do whatever they can to get you off the phone. They are not interested in helping, provided good service, or anything but ripping money out of the hands of good people working hard for what they have. Disgusting.

Been with them for years their change of hours has now made it to where I'm constantly having to pull only 20s out of the ATM switching banks that have better hours to serve their customers I'm sick of having to pay in 20's to many people work 9-5 and they cant even stay open until 5:30 like they use to!

Awful. Terrible at maintaining a functional drive-thru, worst ATM in the history of ATMs, and soulless interior. Unconcerned, dismissive attitudes. I'm closing my account in favor of stuffing my money into a mattress, launching it into the river, and hoping it will make its way to me again in a moment of need.

Today at about 230 pm I Pulled up at the drive through there were 2 cars one on each side the person in the outside lane finished and drove off I waited a few minutes and decided the guy I was behind must have something complicated so I moved to the outside lane. Sent my check in the tube to the teller a couple minutes later the truck I was behind finished and drove off I sat for a minute thinking ok my turn, nope another guy drove up the teller helped him with his transaction and he drove off. Then teller stepped over and I saw him with my tube he say cash or deposit he sends back my money I would have assumed the guy just didn’t see me or not paying attention. However he never said thank you or goodbye. Did not say anything to him about feeling ignored so I can only assume the guy is just rude. It’s not waiting that bothered me is was feeling ignored!

My family has banked with Umpqua for years and years. I haven't had as much experience with them personally, but I do know most of the staff in my hometown and they are very nice people. However, the entire bank let me down due to incompetence. I'm not sure if it was strictly a corporate issue, or mostly a branch issue. After 2 failed attempts to receive a home mortgage, our realtor suggested my dad and I do a HELOC loan with our bank (Umpqua) for the entire sum. We only had 2 weeks on our mortgage extension left. My dad explained the situation to Umpqua and luckily they said they thought they could do it, especially since we had already gotten 2 HELOCs within the past year. After reviewing our needs, they even typed and signed a letter for our realtor, saying that the entire payment should be cleared for escrow before our closing date (Friday, February 23rd). Then on Wednesday, February 21st, Umpqua said they were going to be a little late. We found out the money wouldn't technically be ready until "Saturday the 24th at midnight". Therefore, we couldn't wire the money until Monday the 26th at 9am, when they open. This was a big issue and source of frustration for us of course, especially since Umpqua knew with certainty when our closing date was and how important this loan was to us. We had to sign additional paperwork with our realtor and it was a large stressor for him of course too, as well as the selling agent and the sellers. It was our 3rd escrow extension. We tried to look on the bright side, just one more weekend. I had planned on moving all weekend out of my rental (I need to be out of my rental by Wednesday the 28th) but now I have 3 less days. Very unfortunate. I spent my weekend planning my move and planning work on the new house, things like PGE, moving in furniture, setting up utilities, etc. By Monday morning, I had a whole list of appointments for Monday. My dad went to the bank at 9am to wire the money to escrow. He called me at 9:30am and said "they're not sure why, but the money's not ready". I started to freak out. I even called the branch manager myself. I couldn't understand how the money was still not ready. The branch said it was out of their hands, so I called corporate. After speaking with corporate for over half an hour, a customer service rep found that there was a mistake and the request wasn't properly marked online or something like that. She said she'd put a rush on it and we'd have our money in half an hour. Great. I updated my realtor, he was very stressed about the additional complications, but glad it would be resolved "within half an hour" according to Umpqua. Later, Umpqua calls my dad back, and says the bank (presumably the branch?) used the wrong account number for the loan AND the banker forgot to write her own signature on one of the docs, so ultimately we are going to have to wait at least one more day for the money to be ready. One day is not a problem for me personally if it were just me waiting a day, but escrow is not that simple. One more day, our 4th extension, could cost us the entire deal. Escrow is a fragile and hostile environment. There are multiple parties. In addition to the bank, there is a selling agent, a seller (the owners), a title company, an insurance agent, a buying agent, a buyer, and in our case, additional family members waiting and depending on work on the new house. There are well over 20 people who are affected by every hiccup or complication of this escrow. If bankers do not have the experience or knowledge to handle loans of this importance, then I do not believe they should be lending in the first place.
