Dirty rooms. Saw three roaches. An earwig was picked off my fella's leg. Ran out of hot water in the shower two consecutive days.

From the walls to the floor, bathroom to main room. That place could use a major cleaning. No evidence of bed bugs though!Rooms: Pretty grossNoteworthy details: Got a nice carport to park under.

I drove almost 9 hrs from the Bay Area going to Seattle and I was too exhausted to continue driving so I decided to give Shady Oaks a try and I wasn't disappointed, the attendant was very friendly and gave me the room and parking space I requested, without a problem, the location is very quiet and convenient to hwy 5, I was very grateful with the attendant 's response when he gave me the service I was expecting, Thank you sir, you scored!

They did the job right and in a timely manner. Tony is the best contractor in the state. The work he puts out is phenomenal. Hope we can work with him again.

Visited this little gem few times in 2022 and i loved the peace and natural beauty around this place. Why to spend high costly rooms in franchise hotels where you get everything in small motels like Shady Oaks Roseburg Oregon. Friendly staff and great services. I highly recommend :)

Horrible. Absolute filth. Was called said our rooms were ready. We get there and the place was filthy. Nothing done . Beds not made, garbage, floor, stains all over the floor. They came to service it, I still used my leathers to sleep on. There was no way I would crawl into that filth to sleep. Nothing been updated I think since the 70's. He comes the next morning says he's gonna shampoo the carpets. Dude it needs tore out and replaced, along with the rest of the filth. And for$120. I would not pay for that. & Didn't. My brother did. I was ready to leave. I will never go back. Sad it has potential, but with the owner. NOT!!!!!! Seemed like a nice guy but you obviously do not know what clean is.

AVOID! I got BED BUG bites all over arms/hands, neck and legs/ankles! Do not stay here! The only reason we did is our car broke down and that was the closest area to tow. Can’t expect much in those kind of circumstances, but bed bugs will make your problems worse! Sheets had cigarette burns in them, dirty laundry/trash/food under bed, mold and hair in the shower with broken tiles. When addressed with manager they said the cleaning lady had to go the hospital for an appointment and must have “missed a few small things.” But he offered nothing else and even asked for me to leave a good review after my complaints. Bad business that cuts health/cleanliness corners! Avoid in all circumstances, even a broke down car or emergency! Your problems will only grow!

+ 4 instant coffee, 4 creamer packs, lot of sugar, 2 chai tea bags+ mini fridge+ surprisingly large room (double queen) with a desk (that someone used as a cutting board), dresser, large mirror, 2 chairs+ USB charger+ kind and helpful owner(?)/attendant. Our car broke down and other hotels didn't want the vehicle to get towed there. Got the part in the morning, fixed the car.+ mini snack store in the lobby, cookies, chips and ramen+ covered outdoor seating area in the grass, looked like a propane grill there too+ pet friendly- no coffee in the lobby (locked at night)- no hair dryer- didn't have any bath towels but the attendant asked how many we needed (they don't stock the room beforehand?)- I don't think there was a phone either?- rooms didn't get cleaned. We had a sock under the bed, food, trash, bunch of hair and mold/mildew in the prison shower- shower water pressure was very low- while the a/c was really cold it needed to be cleaned3/5 could've been better or worse but it is what it is.

My husband had heart failure and our home burned down, management gave a discount. Nice big room, loved the shower, and away from the town b.s. Warm and helpful management.A much needed place after a life changing disaster.❤️

Cute little place tucked away, great if you need to spend a night somewhere cheap. Owner is super nice! Gave us great food recommendations for where we were headed and even gifted us a couple roses from their garden! Overall great stay and super accommodating our very late check in hour (1am)

So, if you're spoiled by high-end hotels, you might need some time to adjust. This is a small, locally owned hotel first and foremost. Easy check-in, easier checkout, and super wonderful people...They had just put in new carpet and were in the middle of repairing damage some dude had caused to a door to a room and a dresser that was now missing drawer. But the beds are thick and firm and sheets are soft and warm, the heating works like a charm, they have a fridge, microwave and water kettle, and the staff were very good about replacing the batteries in the remote when it was dead. It could use some modern updates when they get the funds, but was cozy, cheap and better than the Days Inn which had several months of bedbug reviews. No bugs in these beds.

Cute little place, very kind people. Recently changed management, who have kept me very pleased with my experience's here. This is my go to place! Price ain't to bad, I do wish rooms were a little cheaper. But all and all great place.
