Yoga riot is a welcoming, cozy space with a great community of teachers and students! My body always feels great after class and the teachers are sure to remind everyone to make any modifications needed. The space is small so be prepared to sweat close to strangers!

I have been practicing yoga on and off for at least a decade. For me, yoga is more than just moving your body or learning and practicing the philosophy that makes yoga so special because finding a space in order to be comfortable to practice, to make mistakes, to feel empowered or emotional is not always an easy combination to find when the yoga market in Portland is very saturated. YogaRiot embodies all of the above. They are true on their word when they share that they are a place for all bodies and all people and to simply practice love and kindness. I feel honored to have randomly stumbled upon this studio where I can practice regularly. Best random stumble <3

As a fat person who has navigated many fitness spaces over the past 10-15 yesss, YogaRIOT is the only place I’ve felt so safe, comfortable, and completely non judged for my body or abilities. The coaches are incredibly warm and inviting, they are consistently offering various ways to do movements, and regularly remind us that using blocks is GOOD for your body and not a weakness in your abilities. I just hit 50 classes and have noooo plan of leaving anytime soon. I’m so happy with this space and the community it’s formed.

It was a pleasant surprise to find a hot yoga studio upon moving to Sellwood, I did the two week $39 unlimited pass and was hooked! I’ve had a membership for a little over a year now and it’s only gotten better. They have a variety of instructors with a lot of classes through out the day. Stoked to get to practice with such good energy and people.

I’ve been a member with YogaRIOT for the past 6 months. Over this time my flexibility has improved significantly. I started my journey with being able to touch my toes with my legs out in front, now my hand can drape over my foot! Each teacher is a great guide through a practice that is always challenging yer rewarding. I feel very welcomed every time I come in <3

One of the best hot vinyasa flow yoga studios in Portland. The teachers and the regulars are welcoming to all levels. Its a quaint/cozy place that often is filled to max, so plan ahead and hold grace for self and others. They rent mats, and have free blocks for class use, but I recommend bringing your own sweat towel, mat and water. Note: they lock the door at the start of class, so no late entry. ✨

I really enjoy coming to this studio. The classes are challenging but I always feel amazing after. It’s really nice that they have classes early in the morning and as late as 7pm so that I can fit a class in even with my busy work schedule. I also like that there are two levels to the studio and the upstairs is a little hotter, so on the days that I’m craving something more intense I can practice upstairs.

I went to this studio before Covid and loved it. I returned recently with a generous deal with two weeks unlimited for $20. The studio is tiny and I left feeling sunburned as the heating apparatus is very close to where you do yoga without any sort of air flow. That's my own personal take on the studio but I'm a lil sensitive to the heat. The reason I'm giving two stars is I felt harassed by the marketing at this place. I received around 10 texts, daily emails, and multiple voicemails asking about my goals and feedback. At first I didn't realize it was the yoga studio and thought it was some phishing texts. I'm very creeped out about this stalker approach to promoting a business. Especially a yoga studio. I suggest yogaRIOT consider this for future promoting.

I really, really enjoyed coming to this studio. The teachers are all lovely. I liked that it was in my neighborhood. I asked to pause my membership last year due to an injury (ironically sustained from one of the yoga classes), and their policy was not to pause, plus they continued to charge me for another month after I canceled. I had intended to resume my membership after my injury but was so turned off by the business policy I won't return.

I came to Yoga Riot as a newbie to yoga almost a year ago and I am HOOKED. Everyone is very welcoming and kind. I immediately felt comfortable and part of the community. I couldn't recommend the studio more!

The infrared heat feels amazing and makes the sequences more challenging. I've loved all the teachers - they keep the classes balanced and strong while always giving plenty of options to suit your energy level for the day.

Such a cute spot, I've loved my time here. Everyone has the best energy, including the teachers and students. I feel very comfortable and have never felt judged or like I needed to impress, which is always a concern when joining a new studio. I signed up for a package that includes both yoga and strength training with Caroline and have been so happy with my progress. Caroline is supportive, encouraging, positive, and so easy to work with. Yoga and strength training at a studio can be incredibly intimidating but I immediately felt at ease!
