Very cool and unique tasting room for fantasy/ren Faire vibe type lovers! The meads were very delicious and unique in flavor, not a big selection of food (mostly just pretzels) but they allow outside foods. If you're not a mead fan but still like the vibes, they have some mocktails, beers, ciders, and teas for you to choose from. The leather works area was very neat if you're into leather products as well! The overall vibes I got were fantasy medieval New World RPG Game of Thrones pub, which would be perfect during the fall and winter to dress up and get some glasses of mead and a few beers! They also sell bottles of their own mead for about 20-30 a bottle, which is nice for a locally produced and owned >mead< !!
Parking: Parking lot was a bit iffy, every car was parked in the most random arrangement with zero order or real space to let another person park. I was lucky and got the last space available in the tiny parking lot, so the neighborhood in the back area would be the only other place to park I believe which isn't a big deal just keep in mind you may have to walk for a minute!

My wife and I had an amazing time here, we came from out of town with WYRD being one of the many stops we had in mind. Not only did we try the mead, we had the garlic focaccia bread with honey. All of it was great. Atmosphere was great, mead selection was great, and the bread was amazing and we had an awesome time!

The decor and ambiance is as if taken from the dreams of every aspiring and whimsical adventurer. If I li'ed closer, I can't think of a better place I'd have liked to make my regular bar, spending hours and hours there with games, new friends and old, and incredible artisan brews. Wyrd is sure to soon enough have as much far-flung fame and tourist attraction as Voodoo Doughnuts, as one of the peculiar prizes that Portland so lauds; 'keep Portland Wyrd' indeed!
Parking: The parking lot is small but there's enough space on the surrounding streets for now. As Wyrd gets more well known it'll get harder to park.

This is an interesting place with diverse areas. The mead server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions to try. She is a hoot in her costume. There is an area for artistic products which was not open when we visited. The main area appears to be heavily focused on gaming which likely is busy at times.

It's all about the mead, gaming, and atmosphere here. The food was not great -- just some very basic pretzels and cheese items -- so you'd be better off ordering from the food truck outside or eating before you come. However, if you want to enter a realm that resembles a D&D tavern, then this is the place! Loved it, even despite the shortcomings in food, and would definitely visit again!

When I made my way over from Germany to meet with some friends, Wyrd was one of the first thing we put on our to do list. And it did not disappoint! It has such a cozy, wonderful atmosphere, with so many things to discover: movie armours, actor's names and autographs, enchanted books, hidden pictures on the floor (everybody find the onion!) etc.
But of course I was mostly looking forward to try the meads. I tried 8 different ones and most of them were delicious! (those who weren't: because of my personal taste, not Wyrd's fault) Some friends had some food and it was fantastic too, others had Butterbeer, which was amazing! Could've stayed all night to try everything, but that just means that I have to come back one day.

Fantastic atmosphere and super nice staff. They helped me put together a diverse mead flight for myself and a friend and were very knowledgeable and helpful when describing what they were pouring. Will definitely be back.

Wyrd is such a unique place! There's truly nothing like it in Portland. They are clearly passionate about what they do and work hard to give everyone a great experience. A must for any mead lover.

Approaching this place, you question if you're in the right spot, but you quickly figure it out and you're transformed into a pub atmosphere. The meads were absolutely delicious, the ambiance was amazing. Sadly, the place closed about 50 minutes after we'd arrived, but it means we just need to plan a better trip earlier!
Also managed to score a pair of Labradorite earrings for my girlfriend...something she'd been looking for that felt like an eternity. Would have loved to have a full day to sample *ALL* the meads and get a real sense but what we did have were amazing!
