They focus on wine and know what is needed to help you protect it. These guys run an exceptional operation. Not only is the storage facility itself well run, but everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to accommodate their clients.

These guys received and stored wine for us for several years while we were in transition to Portland. Really nice space, great service, and nice easy going guys. Even called us once because our locker was empty at the time and checked to make sure we wanted to keep paying. They have all sizes from small lockers to vaults and will hold your key for you if you don't come in much. Great place.

Ordered fine in July and it still has not arrived. No response to emails. Beware.

I don't store wine here, but I can vouch for their customer service when you are in a pinch. I needed some help shipping grooms gifts for a wedding I am in, after being told to ship through FedEx, and Fedex wouldn't take it, they suggested that I come here. The guys were super helpful and sent my shipment that day. The wedding is next week and the bride to be is a happy camper.

I and many friends are long time clients of Portland Wine Storage. I highly recommend PWS to anyone looking for a great place to store their wine collection. Tom & Joe are outstanding owners. Regular tasting events, a fall party, and the opportunity to hold your own events if you choose. They have installed an eco-roof to boot.

I've been a client at Portland Wine Storage since 2009 (!) and the experience has been flawless. Joe and Tom are humble, friendly and honest to goodness guys who have built and curated a great environment with a central location, easy parking, good pricing, and most importantly proper storage conditions, multiple storage options, 24-hour access and a great tasting room. The receiving and shipment services are awesome. There are also fun parties and great folks who I've met there. Highly recommended, they under-promise and over-deliver, which means they've earned my business for life. I'm proud to store my wine at the oldest off-site wine storage business in Portland.

If I were to have a clubhouse, Portland Wine Storage is kind of.. exactly how I would have it setup - a low-key, casual atmosphere where wine lovers can relax and enjoy their collection. The tasting room is what sold me on PWS. A nice bar, stemware, couches.. a perfect getaway for the urban dweller. And it's accessible 24-7 with your keycard! Then to top it all off these guys are great! Joe and Tom are so relaxed about running PWS and it's always a joy to interact with them. Honestly, I think they do this for the pure love of wine and just happen to have a warehouse that's perfectly suited for storage.

The other five-star reviews cover pretty much everything, including the 24/7 access, the stable temperature and humidity, friendly owners, and the wine tasting room, so I will keep it brief. Portland Wine Storage is affordable, easy, and secure. Their customer service is great, and I've really had no complaints in the 6+ years I've been keeping my wine there. Also, they will receive wine shipments for you, and they're a licensed alcohol shipper, so they can package and send your wine for you, should the need arise.

I have to continue to echo the other rave reviews. You have no idea that this is here, but once you find out, you wonder how you survived without it! Located right near the Burnside Bridge (i.e. easy to access), this spot is a lot larger than meets the eye. With all sorts of locker sizes from tiny to huge, you can rent out whatever space is appropriate for your collection. The bottles are all kept at a constant 55-56 degree temperature (they even have a thermometer pushed down through the cork into the liquid of a sample wine bottle as you walk in, so you can see the exact temp). It's got 24/7 access for members to come and pick up some bottles or enjoy them in the common area. Equipped with a Bose radio, decorative (empty) wine bottles, art, wood, and glasses, you can come sip and relax. While I had the opportunity to visit with my boyfriend to sample his collection, I hope to one day be back with my own :) Cheers!

I have been a customer at PWS since 2000. With a cellar that was outgrowing the small space I had at a local wine shop I was glad to find Joe and Tom's new business. The place has been a God send (Actually i don't believe in God but we won't go into that anymore). The amount of wine I have owned has expanded and contracted in the last 14 years. I have been able to more from one small room to one big rooms to two big rooms down to one big room at PWS. Every time I have changed what I was doing they have been very accommodating. When I had a palate ready to go to auction they were there to help me. When I needed to make sure I remembered to lock the door to my space they checked for me. I have great trust in Joe and Tom. They have provided excellent customer service. With 24 hour access and constant temp and humidity I wouldn't have my wine anywhere else. I know my wine is safe in every way.

Joe and Tom provide excellent customer service. If you are looking for a place to store wine in Portland, This is your place. Hands down, the only place for wine storage in Portland. I have had a locker at Willamette Wine storage previously and I trust Joe and Tom a helluva a lot move than John at WWS. Some of the pluses - Constant temp and Humidity at 56 degree - Easy access close to downtown, just right over the Burnside Bridge, down MLK 2 blocks and right on SE Ash. - Joe and Tom throw an awesome "Scary Bottle Night" party every year that is an amazingly good time for the members. - The Tasting Room available to members 24/7, great funky, relaxing place to enjoy wine. 24/7 access. All in all the best place to store wine in Portland. Cheers!

I have visited and met Tom & Joe many times over the years. Great people with top notch facilities...storage spots for beer or wine. The ambiance of the place is very nice...look at the ceiling closely, those giant support timbers are made from an entire tree and they are HUGE. The little room set aside for a place to sit and sample is a nice touch....

I bet you had no idea this place existed did you? About 5 years ago a very good friend of mine asked me to come visit him at Portland Wine Storage. Not knowing much about the place and having a collection of my own beginning to overflow at my house, I thought it was a cool idea. My first time there I immediately had flashbacks of the old Get Smart show with the big underground metal doors and the über security clearance (no shoe phone required). Once inside you realize the simplistic brilliance of the place. Climate controlled (temp and humidity) for optimal bottle cellaring. Lockers and walk in closets for rent where you can store a few cases or a few thousand. A really cool self service entertaining room where you can crack a bottle or two and pre funk before a night on the town or have Tom and Joe cater it for you and throw a party (My wife had a surprise party for my 40th there that I will never forget.) I can't say enough about this place. If you love your wine do what's best for it and have it professionally stored at PWS, you won't regret it.

This is a great place to store wine! They also have an area to open a bottle, relax, and enjoy! They also do catering!! There are many different size lockers and some walk-in areas as well. I am glad to know that my wine is "chillin" here!!

Great spot to store your wine or beer at a cool and consistent temperature and humidty, be it a few bottles or a few pallets. After our last wine fridge broke we didn't want to buy another monstrosity for our growing collection. PWS proved ideal as they have lockers for all needs, from a few cases cases to walk-in rooms. Scaling up or down is easy and the staff are very accommodating. We've been customers for three years and have no intent of quitting. One of the huge pluses is 24/7 access by key fob. The entrance is a very low key affair in the middle of the east-side industrial district, just a half block off MLK in the shadow of the Burnside Bridge. Nothing but a plain door with a small sign, all speakeasy like. One enters the door and descends three flights of steps into the basement of an early 20th century food processing and storage facility. Long rows of lockers and private rooms stretch the full length of the block in an almost James-Bond like location. Access is easy with wide steps (previously mentioned) or a freight elevator for larger volumes. Given the subterranean location and multiple control points, as well as a green roof covered in tall grass, the building is both secure and fairly energy efficient. Should the power go out, I won't be worrying about the building getting too hot. On-street parking is relatively easy to find, and the entrance is half a block from the new east-side streetcar line. In addition to storage lockers there is a comfortable tasting room with glassware, plush couches, free wifi, and a nice book collection. This is available for free to those renting locker space, and is reservable for private events or utilized as part of annual parties for locker holders, with their annual Scary Bottle Night being our favorite. We've met some pretty amazing people at these events, and always make a point of attending. If you've got wine to lay down, or just need to get it out of the way, I highly recommend this place.
