Rude staff. Simply asked a question & when they thought i walked away, i heard them talk crap behind my back. When i confronted them they doubled down & was even more rude..i called the manager & he acted as if i was a bother to him & offered no apologies. I will never go here again & i live blocks away, New Seasons or Whole Foods will get my money not this place.

Worst Experience Ever!!!! My employee and I entered the store at 5920 NE Martin Luther King Blvd, Portland, OR 97211. Upon entering my employee politely asked the tall, old man in a Safeway apron, who was having a conversation with someone about Barnes and Noble bookstores, what the code for the restroom was. He rudely informed him not to interrupt him when he was conversing with someone else. Then when I confronted him on his rudeness he did not apologize and instead became more belligerent. I then informed him not to be a dick. He then became even more belligerent and rude and provoked the situation by going and getting the security guard while I used the restroom. At this point I was angry and abandoned any pretense at being polite. The security guard told me to leave the building 3 times. I stood near the door and refused to leave the building until my employee, who was using the restroom, was safely out of the building as well. I insisted on this since the employees were obviously prejudiced, hostile and had profiled my employee. I could no longer trust that he would be treated properly. When I refused to leave until my employee was done and safe, the security guard reached down and pulled a weapon off of his belt, pointed it at my face and advanced on me. This was unprovoked and the situation was non-violent until this point. When he threatened me with his weapon I began yelling. He did lower his weapon, but at this point the situation degraded due to the completely inappropriate actions taken. I am waiting to get any response from Safeway.

Your employees were quick to point out Customer social distance compliance, They were not practicing it themselves. Also the customer handling every package and putting it back was just gross. C-19 is transmitted hand to mouth via surface contact. The practice at this store is a charade.
