pharmacists don't answer the phone, ever in my experience, and the phone system regularly drops calls. medications are often not available they day they say they will be. pharmacy is dreadfully understaffed, lines are regularly a 20-30 minute wait to pick up a medicine whether you do the drive through or go inside. even when I made an appointment for a shot and arrive early I still had to wait over 20 min past my appointment time to be seen. the actual pharmacists are nice enough, this is clearly more of a corporate/system-wide set of issues.

Went today to pick up prescription and the pharmacy bill as closed bc staff call out. They closed the pharmacy. What happened to employees who are new and call out sick- they got fired. A pharmacy is needed to help their customers. I could not p/u prescription due today absent employees - where are the consequences of not showing up for work. Secondly - I call the pharmacy to check if RX has been filled and pharmacy never picks up. My called goes around and then it cuts off. I was informed since June 2022 that they are short staffed and it's now 10/31/22 and the same problem continues. I changed from CVS to rite aid three years ago in arroyo grande, Ca and their service in CA was timely and excellent. I am dissatisfied with rite aid at 181th St.

The Pharmacy never opened on Sunday or Monday. Find a different pharmacy. Tried to have another rite aid to fill my prescription, but despite the doctor calling and making sure they had the medication and the prescription, 6 hours later, even the different rite aid says they don't have the prescription. Is their computers screwed up or what??? So frustrating.

i'm a transgender man & i get my testosterone from this rite aid. the pharmacists are extremely rude & claim to never have my order in their system. i'm forced to go in and show them my doctors prescription & have to literally borderline scream at the same lady every time because of her attitude. i don't know if she's transphobic or just a really shitty pharmacist. i have been hung up on several times trying to ask if my refill is ready as well. ive been given nothing but disgusting attitude. there's maybe 1 pharmacy tech that works there and is actually a decent person, he's great. if you're gonna be a pharmacist in Portland you're going to have to put your beliefs aside ab trans folks & do your job. it's genuinely so embarrassing how a full grown woman chooses to be so hateful & grumpy. if you don't like your job that much, quit. don't take it out on others. i noticed they treat others like complete garbage as well & it just looks really bad on the company as a whole.

This pharmacy is consistently slow and left me waiting 30 min for a script and made me late to work. They're not helpful at all. They clearly need more help or better management maybe both. I will not be coming back here ever again.

I called in advance to make sure that they were able to accept bottles and cans. I drove 15 minutes to get there and when I got there, the manager at the receiving dock was busy on his phone and did not care to tend to me. I gave him several minutes then I asked if this was the area for the bottle drop. He said that they won't except any bottles or cans today because they ran out of bags! It is unbelievable and not acceptable! I was told a lie and when I got there they did not accept my bottles! In addition to that as I was walking away, he and his colleague whispered something and laughed. I'm not too sure if they're lying or they truly don't give a shit. Either way, this is such a bad customer service store! The manager was a male and he is bald. I'd give him the finger next time! EDIT to REPLY: Now that I've had time to think about this - maybe ur manager along along with a younger colleague was racist! I am an Asian women with 4 kids in an older van... we're not homeless... we're just frugal and smart with our money. Maybe he was racist & didn't want to help me base on what he saw!

The pharmacy is ran by spoiled children who are disrespectful and non technical. They are rude ,lazy and unhelpful. I assume all they are for is filling prescriptions and they can't do it correctly or on time sooo........ best teach them how to treat people ,you are personally responsible for what thees "boys" say to people as are they.

Called to renew this Tuesday, never heard anything. Currently trying to renew a prescription, but there's a circular automated menu that won't call through to anyone real. Neither my doctor nor I can get a hold of anyone. Really dangerous, since I'm leaving on vacation without enough medication. It is now Friday and I will have had to go to the pharmacy in person TWICE to sort this out. Abysmal customer service, even with a short staff. ***Update***- as I saw "Pam" respond to several other reviews with the Rite Aid customer service number, I proactively called them for help. After being on hold for 35 minutes, they couldn't get through to any pharmacy in my area either. Rite Aid corporate couldn't get through to anyone on the phone due to the same automatic loop system. When I asked how they would get a hold of anyone in the store in case of emergency, she didn't know and couldn't help me. She created a case number, but that still didn't help me in the moment. Multiple customer service fails company wide. Go to Walgreens.

Spent 20 minutes on hold. They never answered. How am I supposed to trust a pharmacy with my meds (life) if they aren't even capable of answering the phone.

Oh my God why is the pharmacist walking around without a mask, especially with her Co workers around yes Covid is still a thing. I don't care if you are all fully vaccinated... I'm not.

They have a sign saying that you can get other stuff through the window as to not have to go inside during the pandemic. They have done this for me many times, usually just an item or two. Today my elderly mother picked up her medicine here at the drive-through, they refused to allow her to purchase Orajel mouthwash (which she needs desperately) through their drive-through and told her she'd have to come in. Guessing someone put on their b****y pants on today and just didn't want to, or they are ageist. Also, I have witnessed a few fights at this location. So we will shop at Walgreens (just across the street) now. Much safer to go inside and the employees at Walgreens are top-notch!!

They are a pharmacy. That means, things to help you feel better or stay healthy. So why were 0 employees wearing masks during a pandemic. Many of their customers have underlying conditions and higher risk. If any one should know better they should. Also, the woman at the pharmacy counter was mad that I had 2 to fill. I asked how long and she said, "well, longer now that I have 2 for you"

I came to pick up my medication here a month ago and it was supposed to be a three month supply but they only gave me one. I've never picked up this medication before so I didn't know I was supposed to receive 3 packs versus 1 pack that I got. I'm running out of my 1 pack medication and I have 5 days left. I called to get a refill but I was told by Claire that I couldn't get a refill because I still had two more months of supply left that they gave me. I was confused at this point. They called my insurance and said they couldn't do anything about it because I had already paid for three (which I did not receive 3). They said if I really wanted to get another pack, I have to pay out of pocket. So I'd have to pay for another one, on top of what I already paid for, for two packs that I did not receive. They did not apologize or admit to their fault, for not giving me the correct amount in the initial visit. This place is horrible.
