This shop was so accommodating with my schedule and unique shipping situation when I was in town and found a bike I wanted to get back home. They were also quick to answer all of my questions. I ended up buying a bike there and they had great insight and suggestions for care, fit, etc. Was very happy overall.

Classy shop with stellar staff. Really came through for me with no profit to themselves. If I am ever back in Portland this is the only bike store I would visit.

I've been a loyal customer of Western Bikeworks for several years, and I can't praise them enough. Their impeccable customer service, fantastic loyalty program, competitively priced products, and reliable shipping have made each purchase a delightful experience. What truly sets them apart is their dedicated staff. Every time I've interacted with their team, it's been a pleasure. They tackle any issues with efficient and practical solutions, making the occasional hiccup feel like a minor inconvenience. Most recently, I had to utilize their warranty service for my Kask Protone helmet, and I was blown away by their professionalism and outstanding communication. They made the process smooth and stress-free.Western Bikeworks, you've consistently exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of top-notch cycling gear and service.

Be careful, if you order from Canada customs fees are very high, and here is the response from kwur customer service: My only suggestion is to avoid ordering from overseas, as any shipment going to Canada is going to be subject to these duties /rates.

Beware of this place!! Placed an order online and they refused to ship because they couldn't verify my address. They kept sending links to another address that's similar to mine. My house is new and isn't on Google maps or the state accessors website yet. My neighbors house was built in 2021 and isn't on either yet as well. They're not updated. I kept telling them the link they sent me was NOT my house. Then they rambled about someone who lives at the other address who I don't even know!! Nate, who appears to be a manger, is a creep and tried calling me. I would NOT do business with these weirdos if it was the only bicycle shop in the country. If you have children keep them away! I fear for their safety if they do business here.

Used WBW for a long time with no issues, but for a recent helmet return the shop sent me an email stating I would get a refund of 39$ on a $90+ helmet….

Ordered a helmet retention system, cost me $18 shipped. Received quick and in great condition. It unfortunately did not fit my helmet and I needed to return the item. Upon completing their return proceed on their website I would be issued $5 back. They charged me $4 to ship it to my house but nearly $9 to return it. I would not even receive half of the cost of the item upon this return. I was told it would be better just to keep it cuz I'm not going to find shipping cheaper anywhere else.

Was super glad to find the tire that I wanted. I paid for UPS Ground as it showed delivery a couple of days later. I got a confirmation for half my order (the tubes) which arrived on time. I had to call to get the info for the actual tires. The guy on the phone was super bro-tastic and not terribly helpful. I am hoping that my tires arrive tomorrow. Not a great experience...

Don't really make negative reviews, and it seems like the brick and mortar bike shop is filled with excellent people.Poor experience for me with the online side with a transaction. Probably a fluke but figured I'd share. Read the fine print on the returns policy. Overall, (if you're not local) maybe just shop with another online retailer or visit your local bike shop. My experience with Western Bike Works, Velotech Inc, and Nate from sales was a solid reminder.

Had a recent issue with a 24 box of GU packs that had a ruptured pack inside the box - with no evidence of any outside box damage. Clearly a problem created at the GU "factory" but now creating quite a GLU-y mess. Let's just say that Customer Service proposed a reasonable solution to a sticky situation and has retained my future business. Nice work. Thanks.

So this place isn't really a brick and mortar bike shop. It is an online fulfillment center for three websites; western bike works, bike tires direct, and tri sports. That being said, you can still go in to the front area, where they have a few kiosk sort of workstations with their website opened up. You can build a shopping cart, seeing live stock levels, and then print your cart out, and they will go back to the warehouse and pick it for you. It was a surprisingly satisfying experience. You could also do a "will call" and order online from home and choose pick up at store. It was actually a great experience. Staff was super nice and helpful. When he brought out my order, he let me try on the apparel. I will definitely be shopping with them again!!

Tried to call and get information on if/when they will be repairing bicycles. I was given short answers with almost no information given, and a piss poor attitude.I had to ask the guy 4 times if they're repairing or are going to repair before given a straight forward answer before being told there are other bike shops you can shop at.

The staff at Western Bikeworks are first class! Thank you so much for helping me with my online order!
