It takes a lot for me to review a bank. I go here for my work transactions like expense report check cashing etc. I could use the ATM but I go in every time. The people are why. Super nice and friendly. I think they recognize me. Probably.l not but you get that impression. Also they always have straps of $2s and I love that. Parking would be tough but I walk and bike.

Ben and the manager Michael are amazing. I used to work for Wells Fargo and can honestly say I've never seen such amazing customer service in my years of banking. Thank you for resolving my issues and being so willing to help.

Ok so this bank is HELLA out of my way for literally everything I need and there are closer locations I could use but I will not go anywhere but here because I love these people. This staff is so freaking sweet and friendly and I feel like they're my personal friends hoping for me to do well. The bankers are really knowledgeable and try to help me in any way they can. They're very invested in my life and it's very comforting! Mike at this branch is the nicest man and is always there when I need him. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this specific branch. It's great. And Wells Fargo as a bank is just really nice. Easy to get rid of fees and the app is hella easy to navigate. I'm a huge fan so far!

Things have gone from pretty good, to really good. New top folks here have brought a much better vibe to the branch.

I would HIGHLY recommended choosing another bank for doing any of your business. Over the course of my history with them it's cost me thousands of dollars. I've had a Wells Fargo account for over 2 years now. I had a auto loan with them which I paid off in 8 months. I then sold that car, & applied for a new loan with Wells Fargo, which they denied soon after.... After months of high interest rates as a person with "lack of prior credit history" I finally discover that the Banker, Rod, had entered my SSN wrong since Day 1, so I had been received ZERO credit for the $16,000 I put into the loan.... I go down there to finally straighten this out & I'm met with no answers.. The bank manager tried pitching me a bunch of reasons of how this could be my fault, then continued to file the claim to Wells Fargo Resolution Department say. It's been 2 weeks & I still have no resolution, while still paying a 17% interest rate on my new auto loan as a 21 year old kid with "no prior credit history"...

This has not been my usual branch to do business in, but I've had fantastic service here every time I come in. Most recently, I had a fairly obnoxious transaction that required several verifications, and was assisted proactively by Claudia here. Thanks for your follow-up and working with me!

Went in to close my accounts. After an hour, I left with 2 of my 4 accounts closed. The banker had plenty of excuses, but gave me instructions to call a number to close the account by phone. If that was the final answer, it would have saved me an hour to do all 4 that way... Wasn't a fan of Wells Fargo when I entered the building, and left with an even worse opinion of them. (which would have been nearly impossible)

In general I am outrageously attached to banks. Banks are somber and exalted places to do business, improve your life, and realize that numbers mean more than what's inside your wallet. I hope this review is more successful than my other first Portland review. However, this Wells Fargo branch has not seen fit to bestow upon me any of the qualities that I expect--nay, require--of a bank. I have been a Wells Fargo customer since 1991, then not for a while, then since 2004. I have always found its employees to be lively and exotic. This rathole, though, takes the cake when it comes to changing my mind about something I previously considered a part of my life. Maybe even a part of my family. My first visit here started simply enough, with a deposit that went smoothly and a request to briefly sit down with a banker to discuss the details of one of my innumerable off-shore holdings and vertical goat-lift entreaties. I was greeted by a little rude man with eyebrows drawn on like I wasn't supposed to notice. I DID. He proceeded to condescend to me about all sorts of details about my personal life that could be gleaned from my bank records, dismiss my concerns about pressing world troubles like the Scorpio Design and Wild Stork Disorder, and violate what I understand to the cardinal rule of banking: don't get high on your own supply and start thinking you're a life-coach no matter how badly the customer wants you to be. Duh. This isn't carpe diem. The breaking point came when he saw fit to interject advice that was directly counter to what I've been told by higher-ranking, more experienced professionals within his organization. He was insubordinate and misguided and I hope someone loves him very much because his eyebrows sure don't. I apologize in advance if he is suffering from alopecia. If he's riding this, well, don't mess with my money next time I come 'round. I returned there today, against my better judgment, to inquire into some routine clerical matters involving a particularly fancy and toxic postage stamp. Three employees ganged up on me to gawk in my direction. Then I was informed that the person responsible for handling said postage was available by appointment only and only tomorrow. I told some white lies about parts of my body and got out of there as fast as possible. Then I went to another bank that I have nothing to do with (it's name rhymes with CHASE) and was politely helped out in the direction I had originally anticipated. They say a company is only as good as its branches and a branch only as good as the leaves that make up the experiences of this flailing passage of good times we call life. I am still with Wells Fargo but in the future I will do my banking at another bank and hope they can get the money into my WF accounts. Do you like this better than my last review? Is the autobiographical turn a positive development? Or do you like the novelistic vantage point that defined my earlier work?

Couldn't agree more with Julie D. When I visit a bank, I just want to take care of business as quickly and efficiently as possible and get the hell out of there. Small talk is infuriating, and even if other people enjoy the small-talk, if I'm waiting behind them that just means I have to wait longer. Maybe Wells should label tellers as 'talkers' or 'businesspeople' and customers can pick-and-choose. And, of course, I'd much rather support a local/regional bank than a big national chain. So I've moved most of my money over to Umpqua & just have one straggler account with these guys.

It's a conveniently located ATM in the heart of the Pearl. Put card in, fingers crossed and out comes some dough. Tip: get cash here to take advantage of delicious Cool Moon Ice Cream at a discount.

I am personally not a fan of big banks but, for work we deal with Wells Fargo and this branch in particular seems to be among the most friendly group I've met. They welcome us with a smile every time no matter how busy they are and are always accommodating, even when we have last minute requests.
