Where have the Mail Drop boxes gone at this USPS . I have had mail stolen out of my outgoing mailbox so always come here to directly drop my mail. Now both mailboxes are gone. I am also concerned with the elections coming up this will interfere with citizens voting my mail.

Stop marking packages as "Out for delivery" if you cant deliver it that day, and add a label for "Delivery failed" instead of marking a package as "Insufficient address" when its got the correct one.

They have no authority to do anything or help you out. Go to Oak Grove. Waste of time. I received someone else’s package and they couldn’t help me do the right thing and get it to them.

Very disappointed with the customer service provided. I had two boxes to ship out and had QR codes for labels (everything has been paid by the receiving company). The cashier scanned one of the QR codes and said that now I need to buy tape to tape my boxes. I refused to buy one and said that I will go home, tape everything and come back. She said she already printed a label and I need to buy tape now… I said I’m not buying anything, then she quickly took a box out of my hands and gave me a receipt in silence. I asked if I need to go home and tape the second box and she said yes. I understand policies and procedures to a certain point… paying $5 for a piece of tape is ridiculous! Something needs to be changed! Every time I go to ups, I’ve never heard of such a thing.

I am a big fan of all the employees at the Milwaukie post office. I know they have the weekends off, so go then boo-hoo but they are always so reliable whenever I am there Monday through Friday they all rock and I respect each and everyone of them.

The guy who help us at the counter was very nice and patient with us even though it was during the Christmas rush. Very kind and helpful plus my packages made it to where they were going without an issue.

So disappointed. In June I sent a handmade birthday card to my mother in southern Oregon and it arrived late, it took 2 ½ weeks to get there. I was disappointed, but that hadn’t happened before so maybe it was a one time issue, we’re all human. On August 1st I sent a hand bound leather journal that I had made and then sold on Etsy to the buyer here in Portland. Several days later I realized I had not gotten notification of delivery, I checked the tracking and it hadn’t left Milwaukie station so I called USPS. I did try to file a missing package claim online but that page kept freezing. After 45 minutes on hold I spoke to a very nice representative who helped me file a claim. Four days later I received notice that the package cannot be found,USP strives to deliver post in a timely and efficient manner, and the claim has been resolved. They advised me to contact the sender, if it is a vendor, for a refund. Even though I gave them all my information they don’t realize I am the sender. So infuriating the attitude is- oh just get a refund, situation resolved. Did they even look for it? This does not feel like resolution to me.ALSO, on the morning of August 8, I sent a package to my sister in Southern Oregon containing 2 hand bound leather journals that I made. It was later this day that I realized that the package sent to Portland was missing. According to tracking for my sister’s package, after 5 days, it has left PITTSBURGH and will be late! The lack of accountability is astonishing.I don’t think it needs to be said that I will not be using USPS to send packages ever again.

There are only about two employees at any given time. This is not enough- not even close to enough. With so many mailboxes present, lines out the door, parcels take days to be scanned in. You need to drive into Portland to get delivery in a reasonable time. It's very frustrating to drop off a package on a Wednesday MORNING, first thing, pay for three-day service, and find one parcel hasn't been scanned in by the end of the day Thursday and the other won't be delivered until Tuesday. That is FIVE DAY. Maybe usps cannot count? Perhaps they are simply undermanned, but plenty of revenue is created at this location. PLENTY. They need to staff appropriately. Two people isn't enough. There are too many local businesses to be treated as peripheral, as this location treats its customers. I have had other, not great experiences, due to overly bureaucratic policies. But in all, I am positive the problems here are explicitly due to poorly meeting staffing needs. Hopefully Dave at the main Milwaukie location reads this and takes note because it's unacceptable to pay for 3-day mail and have parcels without scans days later and others being processed so late that they're 5-day delivery. Milwaukie usps needs to step up its game and also consider that good employees leave when overworked, treated as expendable, or exploited as many of the carriers and location-workers agree seem to be.
