April 2024 by Danielle Wagner
Worst experience ever. After our previous tax guy retired, we were passed on to Tracy. We sent our personal tax papers in around mid-march. I called AND sent an email on March 28th and was told our taxes had been done and were “in queue” for final review. We thought great, our taxes will be done well before the deadline. FALSE. April 12th comes around and we have not heard anything. No email, call, nothing from Tracy and his team. So I call again. And again am told our forms are “in queue” for final review. Im told that once they are done, we will be notified so we can come in and sign papers and “not to worry, we have until 11:59 pm on the 15th to get these done”. Ok, the deadline may be 11:59 pm but some of us work and do not have the ability to drop everything to go sign papers last minute. Im told there will be a phone call by Sunday night. Only, there is no communication AT ALL. April 15th comes and we decide to give them until mid-day to contact us in regards to our taxes. Lunchtime comes and goes, I call off my personal phone and get sent to voicemail. I call off a friends phone not even 15 minutes later and they answer on the first couple rings. Again, I am told my papers are in queue and they’ve been busy. I understand tax season is busy, but maybe don’t take on too many clients if you can’t guarantee that their forms will be done in time, or if you can not handle the capacity to communicate properly with them. This was the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had. My husband and I ended up stressing out and doing our own taxes Monday night before the deadline due to the lack of competency Tracy and his team have. I would not recommend Tracy to my worst enemy. His services are lacking in every aspect, he is unprofessional, and his secretary is just as bad. You would expect a much better experience when it comes to dealing with something like taxes. To say I am disappointed and disgusted is an understatement. As a comparison, my sister who owns her own business sent her forms to her own tax guy and had them back to sign within 48 hours. Weird. Communication and organization go a long way. RUN THE OTHER WAY BEFORE THINKING OF USING TRACY FOR ANYTHING TAX RELATED. Unless you feel like being stressed until the very last second and being left in the dark with your forms.

Just switched firms for my personal and business taxes to Fisher CPA. I could not be happier in working with Tracy. I like the fact he spends the time explaining different approaches and ideas for my particular situation, and works with me to come up with the best approach! Thanks Tracy you have a great business keep up the good work.

Tracy Fisher is an incompetent CPA who didn’t prepare our taxes correctly, which created a nightmare for us with the IRS. He prepared our 2016 taxes. He was slow to respond to our emails and never fully addressed our questions. Although we gave him tax documents as soon as we had them, he dragged out the completion of our taxes until they were almost late. Our experience as clients was enough to discourage us from hiring Tracy Fisher again. Then, in fall of 2018 the IRS notified us that we still owed more taxes from 2016. I emailed Tracy regarding the IRS notice and he informed us that if we were still working with him, he would look into it for no charge, but since we weren’t, he suggested we have someone else remedy the situation. He was not willing to stand by his work. We had our current CPA handle the matter. They discovered that Tracy had neglected to submit a couple of forms making it look like we owed more tax. Our current CPA eventually corrected the situation with the IRS, but charged us for doing so. I emailed Tracy that he had made glaring mistakes on our taxes and that I felt it would be appropriate for him to reimburse us for our out of pocket expenses to have his errors corrected. Tracy didn’t bother to respond.
