When I arrived at work, they sent me to this company to buy materials to start working. Driving from Beaverton and back took me almost 2.5 hours. I ordered the materials and there were only two sheets and they didn't want to load them right away. They told me I had to wait 2 hours to load them and they scolded me at work because I lost half a day. It only took them 5 minutes to get the material out. Even so, I'm going to ask for a discount on my next purchase because of this review.

Gabby was fantastic. She was very helpful over the phone. As a weekend warrior I had questions. Gabby answered those questions and helped me get exactly what I needed for my DIY shade sale. on top of all that, Friday traffic I was making me late. She stayed after to make sure it wasn’t a wasted trip. She went above and beyond. Much appreciated.

I bring trailers from Texas to Trailer City often. They're always extremely nice and helpful getting me unloaded. They're always taking care of their customers. With a wide variety of different types of trailers they carry in stock it's hard not to find the trailer to fit your needs. They can even special order you a trailer. customer service is super super slow. Cannot get a simple stocking question answered by phone after waiting on hold for over an hour. Also the website is useless.

I've not looked into buying from Standard for 10+ years. Back when they were the Steel Yard I found them - as a hobbyist - hard to deal with.Aug 2022 I was making a steel back gate and needed some decorative steel. They were the only place in town that stocked decorative steel. I noted that they now advertise a dedicated DIY side of the business.While there for the decorative I got a quote for the square tube I also needed and was really shocked at their retail pricing.10ft 3" square 1/8" wall; @Standard Steel $212.49; @Eastside Steel $13310ft 2" square 1/8" wall; @Standard Steel $118.29; @Eastside Steel $89I have no association with either business other than as a customer.

Called and asked about a hard to find steel profile and was told it doesn't exist and wanted to argue about it. I buy it all the time but my regular supplier is out. Don't argue with a potential customer about what exists. A "sorry we don't stock that" is fine
