This shop is nothing short but amazing, interesting, with a wonderful selection of oddities and trinkets! It is also just so fun to walk in and see what they got, as things tend to come and go! They also have an amazing oddities exhibit for such an affordable price! Please visit and support this wonderful family owned shop!

Loved the museum, had a great time. Found a rare (ish) ook in the store that I'd been looking for. Both the museum admission (15 bucks) and the book (20 bucks) were good value ??
We'll tell our friends about this place.
Word to the wise: if you just type "odditorium" I to Google Maps, it takes you to some venue clear on the other side of town. Be sure to put "Skeleton Key" in the search h terms as well

Amazing! We appreciated the collection in the museum and the written interpretation of it. There’s a lot to see and it covers a wide array of topics. Factual, odd, and supernatural. A worthwhile visit!

I would visit again 10000 times over. The music upon walking in was amazing (as expected for a goth-esque establishment). There was a great selection of oddities. But what sealed the deal as one of my favorite experiences in Portland was the museum. I probably spent 45 minutes in the museum with my friends. So worth the entry fee. We spent the whole day in Portland and this was my favorite activity of the whole day and it wasn’t event planned.

Definitely a place for oddities. Has some curious displays and they use lighting creatively to set the mood. Not very large, so take your time as you move through it. Read the exhibit explanations to get the most out of it. Won't take you an hour.

We were surprised by all this museum has to offer. We had no expectations coming here and were really impressed overall. Really cool exhibits overall!

If you like the macabre and weird, this is the place for you. Full of interesting things and very respectful about the topics covered. I especially loved the uranium glass lol, I love a room that comes with its own warning plaque (genuine!). The lighting is very low which is very atmospheric but does make reading labels a bit harder. I'd appreciate a bit more guidance about the various sections (even something very simple), and I also think some more focus on Oregon-specific oddities and stories would be cool. Budget 30 minutes to an hour for a visit.

An incredible place. It's still pretty new, and not fully fleshed out as a exhibition. In spite of that, it's one of the must-see places in Portland for tourists and visitors.
The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium and Museum has a competitor. And honestly, I'm liking the Skeleton Key Odditorium more.

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Skeleton Key Odditorium, drawn in by its fascinating promise as a museum of curious oddities. It certainly delivers on its unique theme, although I personally found the experience slightly less engaging than I had hoped. It reminds me of 'Paxon Gate' in ambiance, albeit with a more pronounced focus on darker themes. The admission price of $13 seemed a bit high, particularly considering the absence of interactive displays. Additionally, there was a noticeable incense scent throughout the venue. If your tastes lean towards the eerily unusual, this place might intrigue you, though I recommend your expectations is it is a museum.

Stopped here on an impulse and am so happy I finally did! The museum section is neat, with my favorite exhibit being the uranium glass! The owners are very welcoming and kind, and everything in the shop section is clearly labeled. Much love! ?
$13 admission for adults. Plenty to look at.

I walk past this place weekly, but it looks like someone broke 3 of their windows on 3/2/24. Transients are getting brazen out here.Show your support by checking them out. They'll need it.

Pretty cool place to check out in the Portland area, especially if you're into spooky things. I haven't been inside the museum portion personally, but I've been told that the store part is even cooler than the museum. A lot of the coolest things are rather pricey, so it did feel like a museum experience to me overall. Definitely a lot of options for decorations. It can get a bit uncomfortably crowded (with bad smells) depending on time of day, but usually pretty easy to get around the store.
