There were small Spurtles for sale at The Joinery on Yamhill before. I bought as a gift. The craftsmanship is excellent. I was told that it, the Spurtle, was too nice to use when I gifted it. Also,... I recommend browsing... because there are many different items for sale. I noticed that there was a line down the street of vehicles when I walked into The Joinery because someone had stepped in front of the MAX and onto the tracks again. That's the commuter train.

Cassandra at this location is simply hands down one of the best in customer service that I have come across (and that is saying a lot since I’ve worked in customer service myself for over twenty years). I wanted to order a soaring heart mattress, but had serious issues with their lack of good customer service. So, I reached out to the joinery in a last ditch effort to get help and purchase a soaring heart mattress. Cassandra could not have been more kind or attentive, and sensitive to what I had already been through. I had even been given a significant discount with soaring heart which would not apply through the third party joinery, but did not mind; to me, the most important thing is to work with a company who consistently represents itself via friendliness and kindness.Throughout the process, which took several weeks since the beds are made to order, Cassandra was so wonderfully detail oriented and thorough- always promptly responding and making sure to set expectations in terms of when the next steps would occur, all while being very professional and friendly (she has a great sense of humor too, and made me laugh several times). It is crystal clear she genuinely cares very much about the customer’s experience. If only more folks like her existed out there!!Due to her exceptional representation of the company- I will happily purchase more items from the Joinery in future, as long as I can work with Cassandra!

We recently bought a home near the Seaside/ Astoria, Oregon area. We searched many furniture stores and eventually found The Joinery in Portland, where we bought a lot of our furniture. We are beyond pleased with their work and would highly recommend them. The furniture is hand made to order so it takes a while to receive it but it is worth the wait!

I love The Joinery. We had our bedroom furniture made here a few years ago. The workmanship is amazing. I tell my friends I bought my death bed, because I expect the bed to last until I die and beyond. This is furniture that will last for hundreds of years. In a world where everything is disposable, it is nice to have a place that sells something meant to last. Sure, it is more expensive than other furniture stores, but most other furniture stores sell you something you are going to keep for 10 or 15 years. Why not get something that will last for your lifetime, your children's lifetime, and your grandchildren's lifetime?
