Despite the photographs showing people mulling around in the store looking for what they want the store is closed the only way to access this stuff is via eBay which means you're paying near retail or you have to pay shipping costs to get it sent to you wherever you are even though you can pick it up at the store. The fun of going to free geek was exploring and seeing what good stuff you could find I realized during covid they shut down but the shine is no longer on their store. We want the old format back

Great spot to recycle old electronics safely + efficiently. Not a brick and mortar store anymore, which is disappointing, but glad they are keeping employees away from COVID, which is still rampant. Hope what we donate can be used to help someone in need. Cheers ??PS: a Community Center with Digital Navigators to help people use internet services?? Amazing!!! Ok now I want to volunteer

I work with people that are disabled and I assisted someone to build their own computer. I've donated item's as much as possible.

Probably a good store. Was told it’s amazing from the Seattle electronics recycling community, but I guess they only operate on the EBay side now. My low star rating is a result of the lack of brick and mortar.

Very responsive and customer oriented team. Saved me from making some costly errors on the fix it / buy a new one laptop trail. Low key and knowledgeable. I am a computer moron and they were able to help me without making me feel as tech illiterate as I really am.

First of all, they no longer have a store. All their stuff has been moved to their eBay site. There is very little for sale at the actual geographical location. If they brought the store back, I'd bump them up two stars to three stars total. The clerks often lack customer service skills. When I was there with my friend... i want to say 8 years ago, my friend asked the clerk if they had something that was a new item. The clerk acted like it was a ludicrous question. When working in a customer service position, it pays to not let on that you think a question is ridiculous- customers have feelings. Much more recently (within the last three months) my friend and I drove up to the store from Corvallis (about 90 minutes away) and we let drop how far we had come to look at monitors, and the clerk didn't give a crap. I think it would behoove FreeGeek to have people in customer service positions that aren't just knowledgeable but also gave a crap about customers' feelings. I spent basically 3 hours on the road for nothing, and he didn't care. Very frustrating.

I’m so happy this resource exists in the community. The work they do providing responsible e-recycling and also refurbishing technology to close the digital divide is admirable.

FreeGeek no longer has a brick and morter store..only a non cash taking ebay outlet (per their "community center" page), so suggest adding the word "online" before "retail" in the description--no indication that this anything but a permanent change that happened over a year ago..

We have had nothing but great experiences working with Free Geek. They have been easy to coordinate with for electronics donations.

Great place to donate your used tech. They can wipe your data if you don't know how. I also bought a computer from them to use as a home server which has worked flawlessly.

Super fast and easy! Dropped off a broken laptop and phone that I needed to get rid of. If they refurbish it and are able to give it to someone who needs it, excellent. If they aren't and it gets recycled, still great that it's being disposed of safely. I made sure to factory reset both devices before donating them, but they also assured me that they also wipe each device clean of personal data as well. Thanks for providing a great service y'all!

Really was excited to drop off a nice tv here but they’re closed during their business hours. Also not listed on their website or Facebook that they would be closed today. Really would prefer to not donate to goodwill as I like The idea of this non profit a lot better but I’m definitely not lugging this tv back up The stairs and into my apartment again. So, I have No other choice. I tried!
