A fantastic place to volunteer. Cleaning books for needy readers is worthwhile. They have a new laptop & streaming music service to help pass the time as well.

About The Children's Book Bank at SMART Reading
Come and enjoy our vibrant warehouse, build community, bond over books, and help us make sure every child in Portland has access to quality books! We accept donations of new and used children's books at our warehouse site Monday - Thursday, or email us at
[email protected] to set up an appointment. Head over to Hands On Greater Portland (www.handsonportland.org) to sign up for one of our volunteer shifts.
