The Bossanova Ballroom is one of the oldest continuously operating music and dance halls in Portland, Oregon, hosting concerts and events since 1907. It is an active part of the Portland music community and the Burnside neighborhood, a welcoming hidden gem right in the heart of the city. The venue is a safe space for queer, LGBTQIA+, and POC employees and guests. It is a small, close-quarters venue described as a nice little place and a favorite music venue in Portland. The space has multiple areas for lounging and watching the show, a couple of bars, and free water. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and passionate about music and hospitality, ensuring a welcoming experience for all, including those in wheelchairs with accessible seating. The venue hosts a diverse selection of shows, parties, and events, with great sound and an option to mosh. Some note the sound can be mixed poorly at times, with bass drowning out other elements. Overall, it is considered a pretty frickin' dope place where many memories are made with bands, friendships, and relationships formed.
Great sound system, very organized & thorough security with plenty of options for drinks or sitting area upstairs

Small venue with multiple areas for lounging and watching the show. Only down I give it is the sound was mixed poorly for shows I saw. I pushed only the bass so all the vocals and guitar were drowned out into nothing.

Nice venue. Security is great. Drinks are better. I would come back. Chill place
