Most pretentious highbrow store in Sellwood. We live down the street and my partner was pretty woman'ed today by the worker. She would not be bothered to lift a finger to help my partner in an empty store. We had originally bought clothes from this store that our newborn has grown out of and she said our clothes looked like they were from Walmart or the like. She would not even look through the clothes my partner had, and referred her to the website. When my partner pulled out brands they do accept she said they had too many of blank or that they looked raggedy. We love the idea of rehoming and reusing clothes and were happy to pass these items on but this store accused us of "trying to make a bunch of money" off our seconds.

This is my go-to local shop for all things baby/child. I can’t tell you how many gifts I’ve creatively gathered up for children’s birthday parties, baby showers, holiday toy drives, etc. I manage to walk out spending way less than retail pricing and I feel really good about supporting a local business and participating in the concept of less waste/reusing. This is a definite MUST for families and anyone buying for little ones (even if you aren’t a parent).

3.5 Stars to this place- Sweetpea's is a cute kids consignment shop in Sellwood off a fairly bustling street. I popped in just as they were about to close and snagged a couple bibs and onesie for my little one and tiny lego dolls for the girls. I felt like they had a bigger selection of bigger kids items and less for little (baby) boys and girls, but also understand that the store does not have a terrible large amount of room. I also felt like the prices were a tad on the steeper side in comparison to other kids consignment I've visited in Portland for most items (not all). The lady owner(?) was very kind and gave us a recycled bag for our goods, so we truly appreciated that.

I love this itty bitty children's consignment shop and try to stop in here regularly. I've snagged great quality outer wear, Boggs boots and such foe all 3 of my littles. Come frequently as the merch changes a lot

I adore this place! I came here after we moved to Sellwood last year and fell in love right away. They have a super cute collection of gently used clothing and toys and really fabulous prices. Whenever my daughter needs new stuff, it's the first place I go. The owner is really sweet and always remembers both my name and my daughter's, and let's her walk around and play with the toys while I browse. I have consigned a few things and it was an easy process and the items sold went as credit to my account. Win/win. We moved away from Sellwood a while ago, but I still make the drive to go to Sweetpeas.

I love this store . I loved it when my kids were little and I still manage to find things now that they are older. Christine is a big help And will usually help w that last minute rush items I need when I realize my kids have no snow boots or pants. I also love that Scott , the other owner has a record shop next door . You can usually hear some kind of improv jazz tunes coming from the other side of the wall. These folks are pillars of the community. That means a lot to me !

I have bought many items from Sweetpea's in the past two years for my daughter. Well stocked, clean, and very reasonably priced for quality stuff. The owner is genuinely happy to help customers. She helped my wriggly one year old try on cloths when it was hard for me to do it myself.
