Some of the best finds await you! I have found so many fantastic pieces from Shwop.
I love that when an outfit has served you well, you can pass it along to someone ready for it! The team is always super friendly and helpful and they curate the store so well.
Shwop til ya drop!

This is an effing fantastic store! I tell everyone I can every chance I get about it. It's a one - for- one exchange of clothing for a very reasonable monthly membership fee. OR you can just shop and pay per item like a regular retail thrift store - and the prices are much less than Goodwill, which is to say, things are priced appropriately as gently used clothing items and other second-hand merchandise should be, rather than priced like discounted new items. Also, this is a woman-owned business, and she partners with other nonprofits to reuse/recycle what she can't use. It's a super sustainable business model.

We love Shwop and the amazing community Marci’s created. The new shop is super cute and so carefully curated. The neighborhood is up and coming with fun cafes and restaurants. Being a member there has allowed me and my two teenage daughters to try out so many styles and looks.

What can I say? I have been a "Lifetime" member of Shwop for the better part of a decade. It is the primary (and often only) place I go to refresh my wardrobe and has fundamentally changed my approach to purchasing, using, and saving clothing as a whole! I have long been a lover of "new" clothes, but never needed them to be off the rack at the mall new... just new to me. The challenge is, keeping that habit under control and living within my means. Add to that changing weight, seasonal changes, and styles changing as you grow older... the need for new clothing is unending, and eventually I just lived with what I had even if it was a decade old. I found Shwop a few years after I had my daughter and was in flux with my weight and shape. Being able to take things home, try them on, use them for a while and return them, salved my guilt of spending endless income on something I might wear once, or need for a special occasion, only to have it drift to the back of my closet, never to be seen again. For more standard wardrobe pieces, I find their quality of clothing as well as diversity of options, well beyond that of what you would find in a normal thrift store. Things are clean, well-maintained, and kept neatly on the racks.
Lastly, you will not find another shop-owner around who does as much for the community as Marci Pelletier does. She works with non-profits like LoveOne who help people trying to get back on their feet and out into the work force find professional clothing. Sisters of the Road who helps battered women and their families find safety and restart their lives. There are more on the list, but sufficed to say, she gives back to the community and those around her selflessly to make Portland a better place for all of us, and I would support her wherever she goes.

I dunno. Pretty average. It's a small space and the clothes are jammed on the racks. It was kind of hard to navigate and there's only one dressing room. Also the clothing seems expensive for the quality. This place gives Goodwill vibes but with high prices. A skirt was $15 and a dress was $18. Which is better than retail, but there are thrift places within walking distance where you can get clothing for way better prices and similar or better quality. Worth a shot if you like thrifting. And the stuff I found was decent.

OMG Tis I’d the best shopping experience ever. I have acquired some of the best things here over the years. I shop as often as I want and if I see something I want, I join and buy more.

For several years now Shwop has given me something that I could never have afforded. I can't believe I have never given a review until now. This year I did my Christmas shopping and so much more for my monthly membership fee. Once I got a $100 Coach backpack purse and more for my membership fee. I go there often and only join if I find enough to save. I've been taking things in to trade (for what I take out) all these years and have a lot of credit. I've even given my credit to some friends so they could join. Some of them have given me so many clothes and things to take there that I feel like I even owe them those credits.

I absolutely LOVE this store! The membership option is a tremendous value, and prices are very affordable if you choose to shop instead. This is not your typical resale shop, great selection of quality clothes in excellent condition with new inventory coming in daily. My daughter traded in some clothes that weren't working for her and found a bunch of cute new outfits in a short amount of time.

Great environment. the owner is such a kind hearted human! The curation is high quality, good price especially for the location, and I've made so many great connections here. I love being able to clean out and turn over what's in my closet consistently with the weather or with my changing style, while providing for others, and not contributing to the waste of the fashion industry. Thanks shwop

The people who run the shop are amazingly helpful and friendly, and my preteen daughter found 4(!) pairs of jeans that she loved. That’s unbelievable!I highly recommend this lovely neighborhood gem!
