“The owner and one man show is such a great guy and is an excellent craftsman from what I’ve seen so far. He helped me with a small last minute heel issue and didn’t even charge me even though I tried to hand him some cash! He just asked me to leave a review and come back with “real” repair jobs. Well, my most loved boots need some work and I hope he can fix the sole that is separating.
I’ll be driving across town and returning on Monday. Fingers crossed my beloved boots aren’t beyond repair.”
“Back to the Basket is the epitome of what it means to support local community. They have the sweetest staff ever every single one of them is super kind. They’re super knowledgeable about all things basketball! Whether you’re looking for the sweetest kicks, vintage basketball clothes, bobble heads, dolls, basketball, planters, novelty, memorabilia, they have all things basketball. Go check them out already!”
“Awesome shop. Staff is great. Kevin went above and beyond to help me find a part I needed, then fixed the product for me. Have just about everything you need and good deals. We love it here <3”
“Greetings upon walking in. Made to feel comfortable and welcomed. Staff seemed very knowledgeable. They do treadmill gait test and test you in different shoes for fit and feel. Now for the ultimate test - walking without pain.”
“I have been dreaming of a place like this for many years. I got into the barefoot movement long ago and there were so few shoes available. Now it's possible to walk into a place where you can try out all of these different brands and approaches for yourself. That would've been amazing. But the staff are also so helpful and knowledgeable, and every time I've been in there I've also had great conversations with the other people shopping. If you've ever been the least bit curious about this other way of walking and living and experiencing, don't hesitate to come by this delightful place of welcome and exploration.”
“I traded some older vintage Nike SB Dunks for 2 pretty sought after pairs. I'm across the country in CT and had concerns, like anyone would, about shipping my items to the store first. But I can tell you everything was top notch, I literally couldn't have asked for a better experience. The inventory they have is insane and the prices are solid for the quality. I've seen other stores charge more for worse condition. This will definitely be one of many transactions! ??????”
“Edit: I’m very impressed with the fact that the store owner contacted me regarding my first review. He was very concerned and offered me a small discount on a pair of shoes. Im very impressed with how humble he is. He didn’t make excuses and took responsibility and that show’s character. So I’m updating my review to reflect the dedication this owner has towards maintaining a good name. I still really want to try out more Topo shoes so I will be trying them again at a different location that is bigger and is able to carry a larger stock. I really like the quality of shoes they offer. As we get older we have to take care of our feet and the foot traffic will help with that.As others said the selection is Tiny compared to their other location so my suggestion is to call ahead of time.I did go ahead and erase my other review because in hindsight it was hasty. If I had an issue I should have contacted a higher up person and given them the chance to offer a resolution before running to the internet.”

“Best place to buy shoes for kiddos in Portland! The owner, Carey, is so kind and knowledgeable about everything in the shop, too. My favorite place to shop for all things baby and up in PDX.”
“Great, locally owned running store. Local and nationwide brands, personable staff that will find your perfect running or walking shoe. They host group runs and seasonal training sessions for kids and adults, all paces and experience; check their website for times.”
“Great people here and many clothing and footwear items for your sports and outdoor needs. Great place to get a new coat. They have Men's, Women's and children's items. Second floor is women's and children's. Lower floor is men's wear and footwear. There is handicapped accessible access from rear parking lot.”
“Best selection of boots I have ever seen in one store. I ALWAYS have to try on 10 pairs to find something that actually fits and they had them. Sales staff isn't pushy and are very helpful if you ask, so nice for introverts and extroverts.Prices are very reasonable and if you need it they can order your size for you.”

“Love DXL/Casual Male XL. They have everything I need, and more. The staff are helpful. I'm a Platinum member and wish I could get more perks other than the usual $15 to $20 Dollars off 100+ purchase. But it's still worth the drive and the spending.”
“Today was my first time visiting the store and it went incredibly well! I am a novice runner that already suffers from plantar fasciitis, and the Sales Rep truly took his time explaining things and showing me several viable options best suited for me. I’m truly excited about my new purchase and I absolutely can’t wait to hit the local track soon!! ???”
“I have bought Spring Awesome Sauce (in bulk) from this company online many times, and have had particular needs on multiple occasions. Portland Running Company has provided absolutely top notch customer service. Ryan, Becky, and others have been really great.”
“I came in 3/13 a Wednesday afternoon to a busy store and was immediately greeted. The guy that was there was busy with another customer but still acknowledged me and asked what I was looking for. He found what I was looking for (cool gray 11s) but unfortunately they were out of my current budget. I was indecisive and he could see that so he asked me what I was in to and showed me some cheaper options. I left with some red cement 4s, my first pair of 4s and I couldn't be happier. Prices are a bit high here but that's understandable, I'm sure washington square rent isn't cheap plus I would rather support local business so it's worth it to me, thank you!!!”
“Great shop! I’ve been shopping here for a little over four years, the selection is amazing and keeps getting better. They have a really good eye for unique, quality items you can’t really find anywhere else in Portland or even the county.”
“John Fluevog Shoes Portland is a remarkable footwear boutique that presents a diverse array of high-quality shoes in various styles and colors. The customer service is exceptionally welcoming, and customers are warmly encouraged to peruse, touch, and try on the shoes. The store's layout is thoughtfully designed to showcase the shoes in an aesthetically pleasing manner, allowing them to stand out prominently. While the price point may be considered higher, the shoes are of exceptional quality and provide comfort. I highly recommend visiting this establishment for a unique and enjoyable shoe-shopping experience.”
“If you need larger size shoes, this is a good option. Only size 14 or larger areavailable. A large selection of gym shoes, good selection of casual shoes, but a limited selection of dress shoes. Located northwest of downtown, pretty easy to find.”

2 NW 10th Ave, Portland“Great experience here. Salem helped me out so much, choosing a style for me to try that I never would have thought of—and absolutely love! I brought some extra donuts I got for my birthday and they said that whatever they didn’t eat they could give to someone who needs them, which I thought was lovely. All around a great environment with helpful staff, prepare to walk away feeling confident.”

8621 N Lombard St, Portland“I always make sure to stop by RoM whenever I’m in Portland. Such a fun selection of outdoor and fashionable gear with quality and colorful items! The service is also great :) all around great store”
“If you're a dancer, and haven't taken the time to stop in either location, you really would do so. I can honestly say that in the 25+ years I've been wearing pleaser heels, and throughout 5+ different states across the country, I have never seen a larger selection - nothing even came close . . . Including many online vendors. If you need a pair of heels and can't wait for delivery from the manufacturer? This is the only real option there is . . .”
“Cute shop with unique apparel and accessories from around the world. Friendly and welcoming staff who are more than happy to chat with you about their fun products.”
“Vans was an alright place to shop. The customer service was really nice and friendly. They made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. There was a security guard at the door, which made me feel safe. They didn't have a huge selection of clothes and accessories, but they had a pretty good selection of shoes for men, women, and kids. They also had skateboards.”
10AM - 6PM
10233 NE Cascades Pkwy, Portland“Shoe Mill made the best recommendation on Birkenstocks for me. My feet had been hurting with WFH in a home with tile floors - I needed indoor shoes with good support, but having to lace sneakers on was annoying and so I wouldn't bother. Rather than regular sandals, they suggested some Birkenstock slippers with wool uppers - a bit less expensive, fuzzy wool interior, and a more grippy sole for the tile floors. Excellent customer service with listening to how the shoes will be used & suggesting a product that fit my needs perfectly. The shoes have been a lifesaver this winter! Thank you!”
“Best kept secret of PDX…so happy they opened this local store. Get initiated at the highest level of streetwear / techwear. Real life superhero clothes that level you up every time and super nice people! 100 stars”

SW 5th Ave Space #2040, Portland“My friend and I are from a small community. Gas station, food market combined and church. We can hear the coyotes at night and occasionally a mama bear and her cubs pass though...anyway enough about Myself.
When we stepped into Gucci, we were another world!!! But I must say we were very impressed by a young man his kindness and who was happy to answer our questions left us with a.good experience.....It was NOT a pretty women moment.... thank you it was great!!”
“Great selection of sandals that are stylish and comfortable for wide/old lady feet like mine. The person working was alone on a busy day and was still kind and helpful and managed the multiple shoppers with ease.”
“Everyone was extremely helpful, from finding the perfect shoe, to finding the perfect size in apparel. I even left with some new electrolytes and a foam roller! Everyone there was awesome and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Shop in-person, you won't regret it!”
