Upon entering the store at 5:40 PM, I requested assistance from Ms. Awesome to explore some paint colors for a home project. To my shock, she displayed a complete lack of understanding of basic customer service principles. I asked if she could open a can to show me the color, but she adamantly refused, citing her need to leave the store and her reluctance to open the can and close it again. Despite my insistence and the urgency of my situation, she remained uncooperative and stating she needs to close the store.Furthermore, Ms. Awesome failed to locate the color card, leaving me without any means to make an informed decision about my purchase. Her dismissive attitude and insistence on closing the store precisely at 6:00 PM, even though it was not yet that time, left me frustrated and disheartened. As a customer, I expect a certain level of courtesy and professionalism when interacting with store associates, especially from someone in a managerial position. It is deeply concerning to me that Ms. Awesome's behavior reflects poorly on Sherwin-Williams as a company. I believe it is essential for your management team to address this issue promptly and take appropriate action against Ms. Awesome.

Drive 10 seconds down the road and go to Miller instead. We made the mistake of settling for this location because we forgot Miller is closed on Sundays. We needed stain matched and provided the original along with the exact wood being stained. They said it would take 3 days and would call when ready. We heard nothing. I phoned 7 days later for a status update. The women who answered said she had no record of the order and didn’t have time to help me because she was busy with customers (apparently I wasn’t a customer). My husband then drove down in person to find an empty store and the same women who he had dropped the stain and wood off to for the original order. She then somehow found the order. In the end, the stain was available 10 days after drop off and was significantly off (more of a clear coat than the target pecan shade). They refused to refund and only eventually agreed to accept it to recycle.

Good store and friendly group of people who work there.Stopped in a few months ago to pick up a can of paint to match our existing trim. They were very helpful in figuring out the right finish based on pictures I brought. The color was slightly off but that was partially due to my little paint match sensor and the fact that we seem to have 3-4 different shades of white throughout the house. Paint was great though and looks nice.

Kyle is fabulous and knows his brand and colors well. Super helpful over the phone and has always been super helpful in store. I've worked with Kyle as a contractor and as a homeowner for a couple years now. He is friendly, kind, and committed to customer service. Thank you for all of your help!

My husband and I went to this location this last Sunday on 5/29/22. I am 8 months pregnant and we are moving into our first home and are very excited to get it painted! We both have never painted a house before so we are kind of clueless on how to go about getting paint. When we arrived there was one other customer in the shop- it was very slow. There was a worker named Ciara, she is blonde and has a lip piercing. I can not explain to you how unbelievably rude this woman was to us- it was seriously as if she were taking out her anger on us for no reason. We clearly didn't know what we were doing and asked for help which she seemed extremely put off by and barely offered any help, and when she did she talked to us as if we were children. Extremely patronizing. There was no one else in the store needing help and we were just trying to decide what we were going to do (we were in there a total of maybe 10 minutes tops) she clearly was not happy that we were taking the amount of time we were and said "are you guys ready to make your choice now" in an extremely rude voice. Every question we asked she was extremely rude in answering and it seemed as though she felt like we should already know the answers. Finally when we were paying my husband first handed her three white swatches and then three seconds later handed her some color swatches we also wanted to order and she said " Ok well we will do this all in one order" again in an extremely patronizing voice as if we were trying to order the different colors separately. At that point we had had enough of her literally berating us for no reason. We confronted her about her attitude and then she had even more of an attitude. We left without ordering anything because of how awfully she treated us. My husband and I have both worked in customer service and I would say are extremely nice and easy going people, this was just unbelievable and unfortunately we will never go to this location again because of that one worker.

I've historically been a faithful shopper at another brand just down the street but decided to start working with Sherwin-Williams as I didn't need the attitude whenever I asked a question. SW did a SPOT ON stain match that looks identical to the original mfg stain on my kitchen cabinets. Super friendly too!

Early June 2021, my wife and I walked into the SW Portland Sherwin-Williams store on Poplar Lane and the two employees barely looked up from their computer terminals. After 10 minutes, we finally addressed them and were given only cursory answers. When pressed, the employee did at least turn to face us and answered with three complete sentences, but did not leave his station. Finally, following additional conversation across the store, one employee did come over to us, but offered the minimal help possible. We left without making a purchase. We immediatly went to Miller's paint where we learned that deck paint is actually a complex topic: oil vs. water base, stain vs. paint, clean-up, application, expected lifespan of product, etc. There we felt comfortable making our purchase. Stay away from this S-W. One block west is a store with helpful employees. One star for being open on Saturday. No stars othewise.

The staff at this store were very helpful. The store is clean and well organized. It had everything I needed for the task I was doing. I return to this store whenever I need paint.

Super helpful. We got paint chips by mail for free via the website so we didn't have to go in and out of the store a bunch. The paint looks awesome, they helped us sort through all the application options, and then the staff hooked us up with a coupon or two, which was awesome. We wound up getting all of our paint there even though we weren't planning to at first.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were busy, but still said hi and that they'd be with me as soon as possible.
