Love this store! Unique, Portland based gifts along with really cute clothes. I just purchased a few kimono cardigans and I have gotten so many compliments on them. Great prices too.

What an awesome store! I literally could spend a few hours here. There are so many terrific things to check out. Seriously, if you need to get someone a gift, or want to treat yourself to something fun, this is the place to go! There are thousands of cute and/or clever home accessories or hostess gifts here. Just to name a few: quirky socks, puzzles and cards, artsy jewelry, boxed cards and stationery, quirky aprons, all sorts of home accessories, gardening kits, kitchen and bath items, and more, so much more. They have a large selection of Portland-centric gift ideas: cards, coasters, art works and more, depicting views of the city by local artists. Not kitschy stuff either; rather, well-made, quality items. If you need to get a nice Portland souvenir, this would be a good place to go. This kind of gift shop is dangerous for me. I love funny and clever things, and this store is full of them.

Love Salty Teacup; been shopping here for years. It’s the perfect place to look for a unique gift or to treat yourself with some retail therapy. I recently picked up this lovely little bunny painting from local artist Leah Kohlenberg there.

I wandered by Salty Teacup and got sucked in like a wandering star is sucked into a deep gravitational vortex, like a random bolt is snatched by a powerful rare earth magnet and is hopelessly lost. I should have never come close, I should have never looked… it was the word Tea. Like a tempting lure bobbing along in a river, I could not resist. I bit.God! The place is Charming personified! It’s like a painting by Chagall, all bits of color and texture kind of swarming around into a cohesive painting. The closer you look the more you see. You get the feeling someone stood back and curated this carefully. It is not only a great store, but a kind of medicine for the neighborhood, a kind of Balm of Gilead. This is the kind of store that makes people smile as they walk by, that develops a following. So anyway… I’m a crusty old man and I wander into this admittedly fancy pantsy store and it’s full of amazing stuff! Not just girly stuff, but interesting ideas, well made crafts, surprising concepts, and helpful friendly staff… never forget the friendly staff. This kind of place could be a little intimidating for an old man like me. A bit out of date, a bit deaf, maybe a little overwhelmed. Friendly staff will make or break the experience. Damn! I’ve forgotten her name, but she was amazing! Totally made me feel welcome. Give her a raise! But back to the store and what it means to have places like this in the community. Beautiful places full of beautiful things that have been carefully curated. Not just about the money, but with thought for the esthetics of the shop and somehow a deeper spirit that welcomes weary travelers. How it’s important to have places like this instead of chains or liquor stores, or dollar trees all of which have their place, but do not bring healing.I had a great time in Salty Teacup and can’t wait come back. I loved the painted wooden hands with their Santa Muerte icons and the donut bath bombs were the bomb! The store was full of wonder!

SooooOOOoo much stuff to look at. Ended up buying a cute wallet, a sticker, and a magnet, but there was so much more. I've been wanting to come here for a long time and I'm glad I finally did.
