My recently injured husband and I came in here to shop, he was on crutches with a broken leg and asked to use the restroom. No public restrooms, he had to crutch his way to a neighboring store. In an age of people with a multitude of disabilities like Crohn’s disease, IBS, etc refusing a customer paying hundreds of dollars to use the restroom is insane. Every other Ross has a bathroom available. It’s not the average shoppers fault that Portland is over run with transients, and drug addicts. No point in shopping here ever again if I can’t use a restroom as needed.

Last time I came here they had to individually let each shopper in and you had to wait behind a line for a certain period of time before you enter. I have worked retail and understand that theft is a big issue, but it is NOT on the other customers to pay the price. Anyways, it doesn’t really deter the thieves, I saw someone sneaking around and trying to steal the SAME DAY this happened.

They need more checkers and more friendly employees. It just seemed like the moral of the employees was not great, like their just not happy to be there. The whole place just seemed a bit blah! Though, I do love the selection and their prices here.

Entrance is roped off and when I did get let in I got followed around by not one but two loss prevention people or maybe one was just an employee but still I'm trying to spend money and they are dog eyeing me...no bathroom would have bought more stuff but had to leave for bathroom. Won't be back it has an even worse vibe than the longview location and I didn't think that was possible.
I will say that the woman at the door and the cashier was nice that's the only positive thing I have to say.

New store policy will no longer have me shopping. Tried to enter and once inside the security guard, tall whilte male with long hair was holding me in a corral, when i asked to enter he said it would be a bit. Nobody was coming in or out. Im closterfobic and don’t like being held against my will. He just sat there and stared at me, 3 minutes passed I left. They may have problems with theft, however acusting everyone as a theif before they get into the store is unreasonable. I lived in north portland my whole life, this isn’t the USA i grew up in.

Making a paying customer stand and look at the security cameras is a joke. Won't be coming back here the lady says it helps cut down on theft. So apparently everyone is forced to stand at the door just hoping to get in. What a absolute nightmare.

I like Ross stores. Inventory is still low from supply chain disruptions during Pandemic. Prices not rising as fast as groceries and good deals aplenty.

This is the only one Ross in the Portland/Vancouver area where you can't visit a restroom to change your toddler's diaper. I'm not sure about the rest room for people with disabilities as well. Nobody cares.

Entrance was roped off, it looked closed. Security officer told us she was "keeping an eye out for a certain kind of person" Profiling much? Seriously inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. No wonder it was totally empty in there.

Holy moly. First bad impression was when they make you stand for 10 seconds so they can record you for “loss prevention” (WTAF???) So you start my shopping trip at your store making me FEEL like a suspect??? Next, they don’t have ANYTHING. Like it’s the worst stocked Ross ever.If you people can’t hire appropriate security, maybe you should close your location. I went to the Sierra store next door, no standing for 10 seconds for the dumb security camera to capture my image. Insulting, I’ll never return.
