I'll go out of my way to stop here rather than State Line Liquor, prices are about the same, but the staff at Rose City is much friendlier and way more knowledgeable.

One of Portland's best liquor stores. Excellent stock and friendly, helpful staff. PRO TIP: They don't put everything on the shelves. If you don't see it, ask. UPDATE: They just put in all new shelves. They're much higher and hold more stock. It feels like a completely different store. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars. ✌?

Double the 5 stars. A 10 from me. What a great experience. My wife and I had an amazing experience shopping for a good bottle of bourbon. One of the shop keepers spent some time with us and showed us different bottles that he recommended based off what we have liked in the past. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't try to sell us the most expensive bottle he truly cared about sending us home with something he thought we would truly enjoy. He was spot on. We ended up with a bourbon finished in a Cabernet wine barrel. Wow, so good. Definitely something I wouldn't of picked out on my own. He helped me branch out and try something new. Overall the best liquor store experience ever. I recommend asking for advice you won't be let down. Thanks for the help rose city. We will meet again.

Great selection and helpful staff. A little more pricey than, say Menlo Park, but it's in my neighborhood, so I usually go to Rose City.
