Beautiful atmosphere and an almost overwhelming array of jewelry, statuettes, clothing, incense and much more! The woman who runs the shop isn't always there, as she is a family woman first and merchant second (so maybe call if you want to be certain). She's a very cool lady though, and I left with a very lucky purchase.
Check it out, you may find more than you bargained for.

I visit this shop every single time I visit the Hawthorne neighborhood and it’s always a joy to see Yeshi (the owner)! I love conversing with her and I feel at home here. The merchandise is always so fun to look at and if you are looking for a business to support I would suggest this one!!

My first time coming here was a magical experience. This place sells genuinely very nice things. I found here a singing bowl of true antiquity, several hundreds of years old. I utterly believe without any doubt that it surely must be one of the finest quality antique singing bowls in the world today. The bowl has finely hammered walls with the highest quality craftsmanship I have seen in any bowl, measuring 10.5 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches in height. The voice of the bowl is a super deep 70Hz C#2 octave and is the deepest bowl I have ever heard with no harmonic dissonance. The bowl is light in weight and is super easy to hold and play. I have been unable to find another bowl as good as this one anywhere else and instantly became the crown of my collection. The store owner Yeshi is unbelievably kind and she is so much fun to talk to. Her store is quite warm and welcoming, and she will help you with any questions you have. You might be trying to find something in particular that you can't find anywhere, and may end up finding what you're looking for in this place something truly special like I did.

They need to update their Google business hours. It says they're open till 8 and apparently they're really only open till 6. Pretty frustrating to drive across town just to visit their store only to get there at 6:09 and find they are closed because they didn't update their hours online.

Very nice import shop in a sweet neighborhood. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable of the products. I'm partial to the bead bracelets and there are plenty of them there amongst other nicknacks and nice jewelry. I want to bring my mom there to shop !

Beautiful store filled with beautiful gifts! Men, women and children, they’ve got it all. From a huge selection of incense and jewelry to traditional thankas (paintings) and modern clothes. Come into this little woman and minority owned store and get lost.

I walked into Road To Tibet Imports and immediately was told I didn't need to wait to purchase my items. I replied that I was just looking. There was a different store here before that I walked into. I don't remember when I was walking inside that first time. There weren't the same items that I wanted when the store was changed to Road To Tibet items. The store wasn't full of people. I noticed that there were no earrings that were to my liking. I also noticed that there was a strange smell near the counter. It was a peculiar smell. I asked about why there was so much incense but not the scents that my neighbor liked. I was told that the popular scents were the only ones that the owner would stock on the shelves. I also noticed that there was a lot of items that I already owned from a different store. I didn't look for very long. I was accused of selling my necklace by a strange older white man. The man's name started with an "N." I told the owner that I wouldn't be back. I was screamed at when I asked about the handbags. I was going to buy a cloth handbag for my darling Husband's daughter, Micaela, who was 14 years old. I told the owner that I wasn't going to steal anything. I left with a new sense that not all people who are store owners are fluent in quality customer service. There was a brief moment when I was going to the door with a pair of earrings to look at them in the sun. I was told the earrings that I wanted were too expensive for me to buy. I like to purchase one of a kind earrings. But, I've seen these earrings at a different store on the Oregon Coast. I told the owner that I wasn't going to be back and I left the earrings on the front counter. The owner called the police when I left. There was a strange man who ran up to me from the corner and asked me what did I buy. I replied I didn't like what was being sold inside and the owner is very nasty to African-American women. There weren't any hair clips or barrettes.

Very impressed by the high-quality authentic sterling silver jewelry. It feels like you step out of Portland and into Nepal. And the owner is an absolute delight with extensive Tibetan knowledge, happy to support her.

Fantastic store but I wish they would update the hours. Drove all the way down there and they were not open at time stated on signs or google. I even waited around and no one ever opened.

Road to Tibet is Hawthorne’s hidden gem. It’s an absolutely beautiful shop filled with amazing imported art, jewelry, incense, tapestries and so much more. The owner of the shop is warm, welcoming and an incredibly fascinating person to talk to. The shop has an uplifting, positive and even healing aura surrounding it. I always discover something new with each trip to Road to Tibet. A wonderful place to shop while also immersing yourself in positive vibrations and energy.
