Yesterday I a specialized rock hoppper from river city. I’ve bought several bikes over the years from them. I couldn’t be more happy. The staff is the best. Customer service from extremely knowledgeable staff is priceless. Thank you River City!

What a great store! We popped in there to see about getting bicycle caps for my husband. Although we did not purchase one the store was very exciting to be in and very interesting. If you are a cyclist in Portland Oregon this is a must go to store.

TLDR: great inventory, but overworked staff who don’t give great tailored advice, and a bad return policy.They have a great inventory, I’ll give them that. I was recommended the wrong size of chain for my bike from an associate here and then tried to return it later. They wouldn’t process a return for the chain despite the fact it had not been ridden on. Their maintenance department is also always so busy, they don’t really have time to give you the time of day. I’m pretty sure that’s why they recommended me the wrong size of chain. Anyway, rant over.

RCB is a great local bike shop - knowledgeable and friendly sales and service staff, and a great selection of bikes, clothes, components and accessories. I've experienced their service to be top-notch as well!

I couldn't have asked for a better first experience in this shop. As a cycling novice, I knew close to nothing about what I needed to get started. I was immediately helped by the friendliest employee who asked all the right questions and worked with me to find gear that I'm genuinely stoked about. This is where I'll be going for all of my future cycling needs.

I've been going there since the early 2000s. Some of the staff are still there. As long as you have a long term staffer and long term bicyclist, you won't be disappointed. Their discount location is turning into solely and E-Bike seller, so that's where to go if you're into that. They usually have competitive prices, and if you compare them to online stores, or other outdoor stores, you'll probably just buy whatever you're looking for at River City. Ask as many questions as you can, because you'll regret not getting the right thing for your needs. The best part of this location is the upstairs track where you can try out any bike before buying it. I don't know of any other bike shop which has that.

Called about speed and cadence sensors for a Zwift setup and the guy was able to confirm inventory and help me get it so I could finish my setup and ride same day. Super friendly and super professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Probably my new bike shop.

This shop is rad. Just so much cool stuff to nerd out on here. If you have not been here it’s worth the trip just to walk the sales floor and check out all the cool stuff this shop has to offer.The sales employees and mechanics have all been very nice and super helpful.I think the thing that has stood out to me most is their inventory. From the specific bike model I wanted to the small parts and accessories they have had pretty much all of it on hand in the shop.

I had the pleasure of working with Shannon to find a bike and accessories. Shannon was not only super personable, but extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through product offerings and even gave me some valuable riding/ bike maintenance pointers. Shop in general has good product line, and pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to make a bike purchase in Portland ??

I drop by this shop when I visit Portland every so often. Staff is always super helpful and relaxed. Nice selection and I love all the cool bikes hanging from the ceiling that touch on the history and art in cycling.
