Absolute disgrace of a company. All the workers are toothless hill Billie’s that have never talked to a woman and are desperate to tow people’s cars because they can’t afford their own. Sassy driver towed my car out of a parking lot that it was registered to be in and then tired to act stupid. Shame on this establishment and shame on all the low life drivers

The police say, they have a bad reputation. I sent in a request to WGN and KOIN-TV 6 news to launch an investigation for towing a handicap car, with placard on the dashboard.

Corrupt company towed my car because my car was backed in because I had a flat tire and had a tow scheduled with my insurance company but they got there first. Very unfriendly staff would never choose this company if I had a choice. Being towed is incredibly stressful and the people that answer their phones couldn't be any worse at helping a client thru a difficult situation. Never again!!!!

Super professional. Called when needed because someone was parked in my assigned/reserved spot that I pay for. They asked me to have all my paperwork in regards to proof that I own the spot along with ID. Super quick, very thorough and took pictures of all of my paperwork and the spot the person was parked in. They did everything LEGAL.

Folks please pay attention to where you park. Read Read and read the signs. If you get towed by them, ask to see signature of property or manager who authorized thr tow. There are thieves disguised under the entity of Retriver Towing. In the owner’s sick minds, he wants to regulate the fees as compared to Doctors, Electrician etc.... charging $350 + for an hour or less to pay of his teidous hour of tow education. Shameless human being. No wonder why people don't pick up their old cars. Make sense to get another one instead of paying high way robbery price to thieves.

I received a notice in the mail saying that the car that I no longer owned was left on the side of the road and towed and that I owed money on it. I called and spoke to Adena. To say that she was helpful and efficient is an understatement. She was able to quickly and concisely tell me what needed to be done to make the transfer to the new owners immediately. It was a great experience and I highly recommend speaking with her if you call!

One of the most corrupt companies in the Portland metro area. They are definitely laundering money with how they run their business. They tow peoples car even if they have proper permits and just lie and you can do nothing.

THERE IS A CURRENT LAWSUIT GOOGLE IT AND FILE WITH THE OREGON DOJStopped to get lunch before our flight out of PDX came back to the Starbucks lot and Retriever Towing was in the process of towing my rental. The car was still in the stall and he said he had to finish hooking it up to move his truck out on the driveway out of traffic.Law says if they hook up your vehicle but have not moved it they only charge you a hook up fee to drop it. He still had not completed the hook up. Starbucks said the driver came in asked to identify all employees cars and towed anything not accounted for. Needless to say we had to pay the $272 to release it so we could continue our trip.THERE IS A CURRENT LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY GOOGLE IT AND FILE WITH THE OREGON DOJ.

I got almost got towed after parking in a starbucks parking lot for 5 minutes, ridiculous. I even got charged $6 for the the time it took the driver to contact the manager. The entire interaction couldn't of been more then 10 minutes. They made me pay $270 on the spot or they would take my car. I paid. How is this legal?

For towing places, they sure were nice. Had an old car I didn't own but buyers never filed and I got stuck wth a tow bill. Misty was who helped me- she is a total pro and will make you chuckle if you have a good sense of humor. Which I do. She made the experience less awful. 5 stars!

How these people sleep at night I do not know! They came to the apartments that I just moved into a few months ago & towed my vehicle when they weren’t even supposed to be monitoring the apartment complex anymore. I was told that the apartments had ended their contract with them when I moved in in December. Two months later they decided to find a car to tow in a complex that they were not even supposed to be in & towed my car. I’m grateful for the apartment manager that I have she is heaven sent and was able to get it all paid for and also took me to get my truck. Once there it really went downhill. They work out of a box. Literally. Completely unprofessional and unorganized and couldn’t fine the paperwork. After about twenty minutes or so they found it. Then some more waiting and the guy took me to where my truck was. It was then when he was like I gotta wait to talk to someone about releasing it to me. I had only had my truck a few months and hadn’t got it registered yet so I was missing that paperwork, but I had paperwork for when I filled out my lease with the apartment manager that came with me that was dated with my truck information as proof vehicle. This guy really told me to get in the truck and act like he was taking me to get my truck and everything was good to go put it behind my truck and then all of a sudden it was like I have to make a few phone calls!? Like how evil! That took another 30 minutes. By then, I was an emotional mess which gave absolutely zero fawwwks! He then he had to drive back to the front he said so his supervisor can talk to the apartment manager that was still there waiting for me so he could ask her if she will take responsibility for any possible issues of ownership. By the grace of God, this angel apartment manger of mine did so ??… for them to have charged a dollar and then to put somebody through that emotional turmoil and to top it off take zero accountability or responsibility is mine blowing how it is legal and they’re allowed to do people like this is just absolutely sickening. How do you sleep at night ?! is your mother proud of the type of work you choose to do? It would be one thing if somebody told you guys because the vehicle is causing an issue… Wait for you guys to literally cruise apartment complexes in the middle of the night while families are sleeping and take peoples transportation away from them is pure evil…

This tow truck company is horrible. They prey on people when nobody called them, they go around looking for easy money, especially low income apartment complexes, they tried to tow a truck delivering Christmas presents to a family in need, find any reason to tow cars even when its not bothering anyone,, in part its also the apartment complex managements allowing this, just a bunch if heartless evil people in Portland. Carful whenever you see Retriver towing, these people working here are like hungry wolves.. pretty sure a demonic entity owns this tow truck service.
