I stopped by this last weekend to check the location out and to ask a few questions. I was assisted by Alex who was great and very helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns. They had a sale going on at the time and I ended up making a purchase because of their professionalism and customer service. I would highly recommend them if you're ever in the market for equipment!

I bought a bike rack from Rack Attack several years ago, and was having some issues with it. This morning I brought it to the store for assistance, and Sean quickly identified the issue and was able to fix it for me. He was extremely helpful and friendly. Great customer service! I have bought other products over the years and my experience has always been outstanding.

The shop was busy but Matt stopped to let us know he would help us as soon as he finished assisting his current customer. Matt had true experience and knowledge and efficiently answered my son’s questions. He quickly located what was needed and we were on our way. Clean surroundings inside and out. All the work associates were friendly and welcoming. Thank you Matt for taking care of us!

Visited Rack Attack on a road trip down the Oregon Coast and dropped by looking for a new case to add on to my truck. I met Alex and I could not have been any more happy with the help that he provided. From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of outstanding.
Alex demonstrated an impressive level of professionalism and knowledge about the products. He took the time to understand my needs and provided insightful recommendations that were tailored specifically to my situation. His expertise made me feel confident in my purchase decision.

We purchased a used car with an old rack on it (and no keys), only to be told by a different store that we'd have to buy all new cross bars, locks, etc. The friendly salesperson at Rack Attack got us a new key (allowing us to use the old cross bars), and two new bike racks all within about 15 minutes after arriving. Super knowledgeable staff, good prices, I'd highly recommend this store.

Great selections, knowledgable people with an awesome mascot who likes his ears rubbed. Helped me pick out the right cargo box and installed it with no problem. Previously they installed the cargo basket and hitch on my 2016 Outback, so they're tops in my book.

6/13 update: Keeping my original review below and score as is for fairness on the initial experience, but it says a lot of positive about the business that they are big enough to listen to negative feedback and work to improve. Kudos for closing the loop and mending a negative feeling.

I came in here once about a year ago during a busy time so I figured the fact that no one offered to answer any questions I had when I was casually walking by the cargo boxes was due to busyness. I get it, sometimes things are busy. So I was eager to try again today when finally the need for a cargo box meant I was going to purchase today. No other customers noticeable in the store but there was no interest in helping me make a purchase or offering any assistance. It was to the point of being awkward when I or my partner asked questions so I just left. I’m not even mad just bummed out that I ended up going to REI instead of a local business that presumably specializes in this kind of thing and would be willing to engage with a interested customer. Leaving a review as it seems like the owner is engaged and most do have good experiences.

I went in on a Thule roof box for a blowout price, internet said they had it in the store. Got there and inquired about the box, computer said there were two in the warehouse. Quick peek, computer was liar liar RAM on fire. So the quick and affable Alex said he'd give me the next model up - the Thule Motion 3 XL - for a few dollars more than the other unit. A sizeable discount on the brand new out of the box unit, and I'll take it right now! From salutation to sayonara - including installation, maybe 20 minutes.
Well done Alex! Y'all go get a roof box or some accessories from Alex at Rack Attack in Portland, OR!
