We both found several books we had planned to buy easily once we discovered another half of the store. I like science fiction and my husband and I like mysteries.
Powell's Books is an independent bookseller serving Portland, Oregon, since 1971. Powell's is the world's largest independent bookstore, with over 1 million new and used books available across our three retail stores and online. From the latest bestsellers to rare and collectible editions, Powell's has something for everyone. Powell's Books on Hawthorne is a smaller, more relaxed counterpart to the City of Books, but the store is still big enough to warrant a map. Located in the heart of Southeast Portland, Powell's Books on Hawthorne covers more than 10,000 square feet of retail space and offers more than 200,000 used and new books.
