The employees are very good at what they do. I recommend the owner update the business name so it’s the same everywhere. It affects the store services to show up as a different name.

Can't beat the outstanding service I received from Baibi and Scott! After 2 (!) failed attempts (with no explanation) at delivering packages to Ireland via the US postal service, postal annex came to my rescue. They went above and beyond to repack my items (even staying past closing on a weekend with a friendly, upbeat, positive can-do approach), completed and tripled checked all necessary customs and other documents, and followed through with tracking and customs questions that later arose. The communication (initiated on their end) continued until my packages were all received in Ireland. Needless to say, they will be my ONLY go to for all my mailing and relevant needs. Support this small business! We are so fortunate to have them in our neighborhood. With much gratitude. Thank you Baibi and Scott!

Be weary of this store. The owner is incredibly rude and demeaning. We have frequented this store for years and the customer service has always been touch and go. But we had an interaction today that felt outright hostile. We will never enter the Hawthorne Postal Annex again.
The entire following interaction took place over 3 minutes: We asked to have a document notarized and he said what we wanted was against Oregon law and he wouldn’t break Oregon law (which we never asked him to do - he jumped to saying that for no reason). We asked him why notaries in Oregon couldn’t notarize our document so we could get an understanding of how to proceed. We were expecting him to explain that something in the document was wrong or he couldn’t notarize documents from foreign governments. Instead, he took out four stamps and slammed them on the counters and said this is what he can do (refusing to explain what each stamp meant). When we asked what these stamps meant (because we aren’t notaries) and asked again specifically why notaries in Oregon couldn’t stamp our doc (because he hadn’t yet given any answer) he said “I’ll tell you why.” Then he grabbed the Oregon Notary book and threw it across the counter at us, saying “This is why.” By slamming stamps and books on the counter and not saying anything specific about why our document wasn’t something he could notarize, he took a situation from a 1 (answering a question) to a 10 in conflict for absolutely no reason.
Me, my wife and two children felt very uncomfortable by his approach and stunned by his escalation tactics. It was as if he wanted to fight.
On a related note, we took our document to an attorney who notarized it and said there was no reason from their professional point of view that any notary wouldn’t do so.

I stopped by to start the process of renewing my passport. Walking in blind, the staff were very efficient and informative. They offer passport photos, I not only left with a photo but also the following steps to finish my renewal on my end. So grateful!

Not transparent about pricing. They told me about a cheaper self-service printing option AFTER already paying for the document up at the front. Then they had the audacity to say they couldn’t share about all options with all customers but I was one of 3 customers there with 3 employees present. And there were only 2 options total, and they had time to explain it after the fact so that reasoning does not check out. They were unapologetic about the lack of transparency upfront. Not a happy customer and I do not usually review places. It is not about the money lost but the principle and customer service quality.
