I have been doing my banking with PWCU for about 20 years. I have never had an issue with their services. When I was applying for my retirements benefits they assisted me free of charge. After Covid some services appeared to have changed but I feel their online services more than compensated for lack of in person contact. I have never had problems contacting them. I would highly recommend this small friendly credit union.

I’ve been a member since the mid-eighties. My only problem is there is no shared banking anymore. Makes it difficult to make a cash deposit if needed or a check deposit. My son-in-law showed me how to do a deposit on the mobile app but I don’t particularly like that method.

Terrible experiences with this credit union. Impossible to get a manager to speak to when they have made mistakes with my accounts. Do not bank with them.

This has to be the worst financial institution there is.Like so many no return calls no concerns about people stealing out of the elderly accounts even when you notify them they just don't care. Need to notify the federal authorities

As a small, community-centered credit union with just one branch, PWCU can't easily compete with some of the conveniences of large banks (especially in this very tough climate for small ones). But every time I have had to physically go into the branch over the last decade, I've been reminded why I stick around: good people doing their best for customers and keeping the broader service mission alive. Today, for instance, I arrived in an unusually grumpy mood, but Monica (sp?) and other staff members bore with me and quickly sorted out what I needed, with professionalism and grace that left a smile on my face. For that, and for PWCU's commitment to all members, I am grateful.

Title: Exceptional Service from DeRonda, but Limited Online Banking OptionsI've had the pleasure of working with DeRonda at Pointwest Credit Union in Portland, and I must say that her professionalism and efficiency have truly enhanced my experience. She consistently handles issues with great care and speed, which is a breath of fresh air in today's fast-paced world.DeRonda's dedication to ensuring that my concerns are addressed properly and promptly has left a lasting impression. Her ability to navigate through challenges and provide timely solutions is commendable and greatly appreciated.However, it's worth noting that the online banking options at Pointwest Credit Union are disappointingly limited. This has proven to be a considerable inconvenience, especially when DeRonda is unavailable. While her assistance is undeniably valuable, a comprehensive online banking system would ensure a smoother experience for members even when in-person help is not available.In summary, my interactions with DeRonda have been a highlight of my experience with Pointwest Credit Union. Her exceptional service shines bright. Nevertheless, it's crucial for the credit union to invest in improving their online banking options to better support members during times when personalized assistance isn't accessible or atleast expand the personal assistance team. I’ve been a member since I had my first bank account, maybe 2004? Never had any issues. The bank overall is great with deposits posting, and Rhonda in particular has always been incredibly helpful and straightforward throughout the years.As of late, there have little to no actual customer service given. I call when there are questions for my account, which is pretty infrequent, Yet no one answers the phone. I leave voicemails, and never get a return call. I leave emails about the same issue stating no one has returned my call and still have silence. It not until I actually go from my work or home to the one location of the bank that I get any help… and when I mention the lack of return calls I am told they’ve been busy. I get it, I’m sure that’s the case, but no one was in line when I got there and no one came in before I left.I understand people have day to day tasks but from the reviews here, I see I’m not the only one not getting responses to important, time-sensitive questions regarding my account.But make no mistake, I do get a call very fast to tell me if I was approved for a loan.Please do something for the folks that need some quick assistance. A chat bot, more employees, anything.

I have been a member since 2002 or 2003, when they were located in a small place on Killingsworth. Back then, my star banker was Elena Oddy. Two of my adult sons have accounts here too. Always had great service and staff was really helpful. I bought my cars with financing from this bank and the interest was very low. Later something has changed. The website used to be better, more “organized”, the app looks so plain and it’s impossible to make a mobile deposit. It is ridiculous that something that takes you seconds in the “WF” app it is absolutely impossible in the PWCU app. I have to actually go to the bank to deposit my checks, because it was impossible to do using the app. The bank is located in an terribly inconvenient place, there are no ATMs anywhere, the tellers area in the bank is atrocious, what about privacy of other customers? The staff lack any warmth, they seriously look like hate to be there. All of them need a crash course in empathy, customer service skills, and to need to step down of the high cloud where they feel they are. Hey, you, the people that manage this bank, please, listen to your customers, we are not happy with the way our bank is right now.

I have been a member of PWCU since the early 1970's. Have always had great service until recently. I cannot access my account online. I have called numerous times, Nobody EVER answers the phone. I leave a message. Nobody EVER calls me back. I am getting desperate! What has happened to my favorite Credit Union???

I went in with a $25 check I got as a tip from a customer. They extorted 20% of the check so I could cash it.I will never ever open an account with a BANK that feels they need to take $5 to cash small checks that have their BANK name on them. It took less than 2 minutes to cash this check. That's not $5 worth. BANKS like this will never get my buisness. Stop extorting working class people out of their hared earned mo ey while you sit in a comfortable bank doing nothing all day.

I've been with Point West Credit Union for 21 years now. Initially I lived in Portland the first 5 years and then purchased my home in Oregon City. With technology to this day I remain with PWCU and though those favorite faces are now recognized voices I am so happy to be their customer!
