Guy at the counter is super rude! He basically yelled are you using food stamps to my sister in front of everyone. People shouldn't be treated bad due to their situation. We were there in the evening on Friday.

Plaid Pantry is a Portland institution. According to their website, there are 107 store locations, mostly in the Portland Metro area, but a some of them are also as far south as Salem, and as far north as Seattle! The Plaid Pantry location that is the subject of this review is located at Sylvan, in Portland’s West Hills. The location is very convenient, just adjacent to the Sylvan exit from the Sunset Highway. There is a Starbucks across the street, and a pizzeria next door. As convenience stores go, Plaid Pantry is one of the best. It is always well stocked, and the staff at this location has always been friendly and very competent. The store has a fantastic selection of different types of soda and potato chips. It also has hot and cold sandwiches and other standard convenience store items. This kind of food is not generally considered to be healthy, but it can get you by in a pinch. This store has the benefit of also having a gas station attached, which can be very handy if you are in a bind. Gas prices at this location, (being adjacent to one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Oregon) are nowhere near the lowest in town, but then I only buy enough gas here to drive to a cheaper station. The store has its own dedicated parking lot, with at least six spaces, and there is also parking for the nearby businesses, which further enhance its desirability. In general, I give Plaid Pantry high marks for management are their operations.

Good general selection of essentials 24/7 close to my house. Staff has always been friendly and nice. Few places on Holidays open.

This is more about one of their employees, Mike. I do not know his last name but he was on his way to work from S.E., turned around and came back to help me and my husband with our vehicle. Mike you made may weekend! And gave me hope and reminded me that there are still amazingly kind people in the world. THANK YOU

went in about 9,where was a woman woman who prided fantastic customer serevice, better than any plad pantrys I've been too . I'd embarrassed to work at another plaid pantry during these hours

In a great spot for a late night I need this.... This spot even has gas if you are in a pinch. I do not stop here often but am very grateful when I need it. Like the other night a friend and I were heading into a movie - the theater does not carry anything I want to drink so I just wanted to grab a ginger ale really quick...voila! In and out fast and easy and its right off the freeway which is actually rare. You would think there would be a lot of places you can grab gas, cigarettes, some gum.....soda....a vat of ice cream (I'm not judging!) right off the freeway when you are rushing from point A to point B but alas, nope....

Was treated like garbage by a clerk in the morning. Clerk at night made a mistake, and couldn’t fix it. Honest guy, tried his best. Asked me if I could come back in the morning to talk to the manager. Don’t know if it was the manager in the morning, but he berated me like I caused the problem. Reached out to corporate, but months have gone by with no response. Actively avoid all PP now. 7-eleven is getting my business now.
