The store in itself was fine. However, the Vetco was miserable. The receptionist named Grace has awful customer service and treated us poorly due to another family causing chaos behind us.

They need a designated spot for the vetco, they have them smashed in a corner to take care of animals. All the customers have to pile up just to be seen. Higher ups need to do better.

Pet co. Is one of those big box pet stores however these kids have a heart. Every 'now and again you need something only the large stores have. I'm glad I have them.

Get ready for a serious sales pitch for their membership if you go to Petco. I was asked twice if I wanted to join, I said no twice. Then the person checking me out just started the process anyway. As it was happening, their system went down, so I waited longer for something I didn't want to happen. To their credit, when I made it clear for the third time that I did not want a membership, they let me to check out and leave.
This is a ridiculous company policy and I feel a lot of sympathy for the person checking me out. They were clearly just as uncomfortable as I was The whole experience was awkward and unpleasant.
Edit to address company reply: Did you even read what I wrote? This is a policy problem, not an employee problem. Your team is not the issue here. They were very clearly doing exactly what management wanted.
