A friend gave me her Smith Corona portable typewriter and I brought it to Pacific Typewriter for a general look-see and a couple of sticky keys. They cleaned it, restored clean action overall, and charged a very fair price for the repair. Great service and good people. As a typewriter fan, really glad that Pacific Typewriter is here!

If you are having typewriter issues, come here. They have the knowledge for any typewriter! They service and repair just about any machine. They sold me a full size typewriter and it works as if it were new, and it's older than my grandparents!Their selection of typewriters is good. They have tons of electric and portable manual machines. They also have some high demand desktop and ultra portables, but those sell fast.My only complaint is their limited hours. This is understandable for such a specialty shop.

Went there on January 18th (my birthday) to pick out a typewriter. The one I picked out was from the 1940s, so it was really cool and awesome to see and own an 80+ year old typewriter, that still works!!!! Although it did need to have a new ribbon, it was free because they said that they were supposed to do that already, but had forgotten, so they fixed it for free!! Really great people!!! And it came with a case!!

The owner is SO knowledgeable and has plenty of fascinating stories to share about the typewriter scene in Portland over the years. He gave me a FANTASTIC deal on the repair for my typewriter! Such a kind soul. Will definitely bring my typewriters here again!

I brought in an antique typewriter for repair in 2021. The process was quick and thorough. They revitalized my old machine and it works perfectly. Very informative, responsive and pleasant. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The guys here are top notch.I brought my mid-50’s Royal Quiet Deluxe that I found on eBay in for a cleaning/setup/inspection and they found it needed a part they didn’t have handy.Don I believe his name is called another local typewriter repair facility and let them know I’d be calling them so he could take over the repair.Highly recommend checking PT out for your sales and service needs.

I had two typewriters serviced last week and Don did an excellent job! He even worked on a short time schedule as my husband traveled through Portland and back. Now, I am inspired to go to a local coffee shop and type my heart out!

Excellent customer service I really needed help with my mother in law's typewriter he was getting close to closing when I called Don he said come on by so I did and he fixed the typewriter within a few min put in new ribbon and new correction tape and what he charged me was beyond reasonable he was so respectful I will be going to him for all my typewriter needs and highly recommend him he has that old mom and pop feeling to his shop love it
