I came to Oregonian credit union to refinance my vehicle. Despite a seemingly stressful process, the professionals at OCC were experienced, friendly, and patient as they assisted me throughout the refinance process. Not only did they give me a stellar rate on my loan, they answered all my questions and quickly expedited the process. Overall, I would highly recommend them!

I have been a member of Oregonian’s Credit Union for 25+ years, am proud to support credit unions. I consistently receive great customer service. Recently Chelsey Brooks at the NE branch went above and beyond in helping my son and I with some unique and urgent banking issues. We appreciate all! Janna Stephens

I recently had the pleasure of working with Melissa at Oregonians Credit Union for a HELOC on an investment property. Traditionally, I've done my banking with another local credit union where I hold multiple HELOCs and checking accounts. While I've always had a great experience with them, I wanted to diversify my accounts. When I discovered that Oregonians offered super competitive HELOC rates—surprisingly, even better than my other credit union—I decided to check them out. From the get-go, Melissa's patience and dedication were evident. Even though I peppered her with numerous questions (sometimes repeatedly), she always addressed them with clarity and patience. Apart from assisting with the HELOC, she also helped me open two additional checking accounts with Oregonians.Despite my visit being late on a Friday, an hour when most look forward to winding down, Melissa and the team at Oregonians were incredibly warm and friendly. Their professionalism combined with genuine kindness made for an unparalleled banking experience. A big thank you to Melissa and the Oregonians Credit Union team for making this financial journey smooth and reassuring.

I've had a business account here for 6 years. For now. Time and time again this credit union has failed in really frustrating ways. Seemingly everything is made harder than at the three other credit unions I belong to. (I'm writing this while on hold for the past hour regarding the issue below). The thing that is pushing me over the edge to seek a new credit union and incur all the costs of switching systems is: My business debit card is coming up on its expiration ("good thru 6/23" printed on the debit card). Normal right? A financial institution just mails you a new card well ahead of the expiration date, and you update your billing information to all the services your card is subscribed to. Oregonians doesn't do that kind of thing. Instead, they cancel your debit card on 6/1 (despite it saying "good thru 6/23"). Ok, well, did they mail a card well beforehand so I can scramble to update payment information for the failing payments to services my business depends on? After a call to Oregonians, they informed me that the new card was mailed (from some third party) on 5/31, and that they can't confirm when or if it would actually be delivered. So they have some system in place where they mail the new card a day before they cancel the old one (against what is printed on the card itself). And then have no real recourse to allow me to handle making payments to the services my business depends on. So now I'm scrambling to pay for business expenses with my personal debit cards, which creates all kinds of hassle, including making headache for accounting during tax season, when I'll have to track down business payments on my personal accounts as well. This is just one of many terrible experiences I've had with this credit union. (Oh, and yes, I'm still on hold after having finished writing this long review) [update, an hour after writing the above review]: After finally getting through to a (very helpful) representative named Jaime after an hour and a half waiting, I learned that my previous debit card had NOT been canceled on 6/1. The previous rep must have been wrong about that. And the two failed payments were not due to a card cancelation. They're rush shipping me a new card. I'll still be moving on. There are just too many thorns seemingly every time I need to interface with this credit union. I encountered two more just now as I tried to enroll in their new digital banking. (1) The interface asks for birthdate, but it turns out that for business accounts, you have to enter your date of enrollment. Good thing I did it while in a call with the representative otherwise this would have been another occasion for calling up and waiting to be helped with something that should never be an issue in the first place. (2) The new account password instructions are wrong. It asks for adding special characters, but doesn't specify that some special characters are inexplicably not allowed (like semi-colons). These are just annoyances, but they add up.

I have been a member since the 1970's. Credit unions enjoy certain advantages over banks, and personalized service is at the top of the list... . Some banks seem to be eliminating live tellers in favor of lobby terminals for customers to interact with. Not here at Oregonians, where you are a member first, and you are greeted with a cheerful "welcome in" as you walk through the door. Their loan rates are competitive, and you would be wise to consult with their financial planner. (Sooner than later, so you will have a more secure future - especially if retirement is not that many years away. You will be happy you took that step.)

Last October I deposited a check into savings. It had to sit a week before I could transfer it to checking. A teller kindly told me she'd transfer it for me. I thanked her. Three weeks later, it hadn't been transferred, so I went into the bank and told the person managing the front what happened. Her response was: Oh, well, you could have made three transfers by computer-- you can only transfer a certain amount at once-- and you would have been fine. I wondered what if someone were out of town and that happened? What if they weren't proficient using their computer in terms of transferring money? What if they hadn't checked their account and their check bounced? I had hoped for something that sounded like service, something like: "We're sorry. We'll do better." Mistakes happen. I could have accepted that response. I wrote the manager. I never heard back. Since then I closed the account. If service and accountability is important to you, my experience says: Find another bank.

Best branch ever! By far the warmest, friendliest banking experience I have ever had. I've been with them for many years both personal and business banking and it has been nothing but a joy. Love these guys for real!
