As a 82 year old retired Surgeon's Assistant and above knee amputee. I do understand what its like to have a prosthesis that is comfortable to wear and fit well. In order for the prosthesis to fit well, you first needs a prosthetist that is experience in making a prosthesis. I have been wearing a prosthesis since I was 16 years of age. Retiring 15 years ago from surgery where I spent many hours standing at the operating table, it was important that my prosthesis had to fit well.Recently, I needed to replace my suction socket because of weight again. Every prosthetist I made an appointment with I was told they had never made a friction knee prosthesis/they nolonger had the equipment to do the alignment. In the meantime,I had to use crutches. I must say this, their are some prosthetistin the nearby Seattle Area should never be allowed to touch a patient. I must say also, never fall for when a prosthetist tell you that they can come to your home, office, library to fit you with a prosthesis or their fabrication is done elsewhere not in there clinic. Never fall for when you are told by the [prosthetist] they work out of their home. You're being had. I've been there before. After planning to fly to Provo Utah to have a new socket made my wife found a company in Portland Oregon. After making contact with Oregon Artificial Limb Company, I made an appointment. Carlos Lewis was my prosthetist. On my morning visit I was casted, I went back that afternoon. That afternoon Carlos had made me a socket, did the alignment and had me walking on my prosthesis.Carlos did more in 4-5 hours than the one prosthetist had done in6 months. And that no a joke.

I'm a bilateral transmetatarsal amputee, which is a challenging type of amputation to create prostheses for. Oregon Artificial Limb has been incredibly supportive of my challenges and kept making necessary adjustments until I had a good fit. My feet are in good condition because of them, especially Holly, who does magic! She is so creative and persistent.

Wonderful place and service was A++. From my first conversation with Diane to get more info to the delivery of my arm was smooth. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they were able to meet my needs. Diane and Kamila were great with the maze the insurance company has. They navigated it fast and efficiently, quickly resolving issues that arose. Carlos is the craftsman who listened to what I needed and found that best option that met my needs and qualified under my plan. I was truly fortunate to find Oregon Artificial Limb and will be a customer for years to come. Thank you all!

I pay out of my own pocket, the expense in airfare, rental car and hotel to see these folks. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Best prosthetic shop ever!

From the very get-go they have treated me like family and help me achieve goals I didn't think would come for 2-3 years as far as my prosthetic goes. I cannot recommend them highly enough if you have prosthetic needs. As far as I'm concerned they do go the extra mile for their clients. Good job!

I have finally found a place that truly cares and listen’s to your needs, concerns and fears. From the moment I first stepped into the clinic, i felt welcomed. They immediately went to work that day getting me fitted for a new socket and boy was it a beauty. The socket design gave me the ability to control the fluctuations in volume i was experiencing and I finally was no longer pounding the end of my residual limb, but they didn’t stop there. They made the prosthetic lighter and more responsive, allowing me to finally break free and be me again. Hiking, walking blocks at a time, learning to climb up stairs one leg at a time, taking dance classes and walking my 95 pound pit bull. I am living again ♥️ after 5 other clinics who said “I couldn’t.”. Thank you Oregon Artificial Limb!!

I been going to other company last two years and found myself in between prosthetic people. Oal let me in even though I was out of network. I've been seen once and the adjustment was like none if seen. The quality of padding and material. the work done has left me here a month later still feeling like a million bucks. Since going into Oregon artificial limb I've grown a sense of confidence and also gained a belt in brazilain jiu jitsu. Can u believe that??? Never thought that would be possible but this last month with a great prosthetic person and company by my side I honestly feel like I can accomplish anything. Thank you so much OAL company

I am so grateful to Oregon Artificial Limb Co. I have been taking my Aunt there for years, and their service just keeps getting better. I was nervous taking my aunt anywhere during the Covid outbreak, but I felt very safe there as they were obviously observing safe practices. I especially appreciate the senior consulting staff and new staff members Hollie and Andy. They made us feel welcome and comfortable!

These folks are great and highly professional!!! My dad lost his leg a couple of years ago and these caring people treated my dad like family. He was walking in no time which helped him regain his independence. The owner cared enough to check in to make sure his new leg was working. The prosthetist was skilled and thoughtful.

I would recommend Oregon artificial limb to anyone. The staff is kind and courteous. My orthotist was very professional and thorough with making my ankle foot orthotic. Parking was easy with off Street parking. The parking lot had numerous spaces.
