It was a fun place to visit that's great for kids to engage with science as a whole. I loved the interactive exhibits and especially the puzzles/challenges.
I feel like there is some wasted potential here, since it didn't feel like there was that much to see outside of the main room. The astronomy hallway was pretty disappointing and lacked interactivity. The paleontology area was cool, even if it wasnt super interactive. Even in the main room, I personally think there could be a wider variety of scientific phenomenon on display. Double slit expirement, resonance, light reflection/refraction, and gyroscopes among others would be really cool to see. I understand interactive elements require more maintenance, budget, time, planning, and safety concerns (especially with kids), but it would be cool to see and would likely serve to engage the kids even more with science.
The upstairs was being actively worked on so I'm excited to come back again when it's done. Im sure a big wing opening up would definitely change my rating somewhat.

Attended the Trailblazers holiday party the other night and OMSI didn't disappoint. The live animal exhibit was great. Although the little turtle said he wanted to come home with me,I had to turn him down.

Everything is exactly the same as when I went years ago. Adults pushing 3 year old kids out of the way to play with toys. Other parents not watching their kids bullying others. Staff doesn't seem to care. I'll make sure to skip this place in the future.

I did not expect much going with my 9 month old and almost 3 year old.
I was very plasently surprised. The exhibits are very nice for children, probably best for the age 5-10, but my 3 year old definitely enjoyed it a lot. There is a designated 0-6 play area which is also great, interactive, nature / physics oriented. Even my 9 month old really enjoyed it

The museum has a big area for the children to explore science and be themselves wich I like, however the exhibitions are very limited, it makes me think this place more as a playground than an actually museum.
The cost is $20 per person, and some exhibitions might be close, but the price will be the same!

Saw Astronomica, note to those going to see this particular show. This is not a full 360 screen film. It projects to the top center of thr ceiling. Therefore if you do not sit and face the projection, you are viewing at the seam of two projections.
