I have lived at Muse for about a year now, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. It has one of my favorite one bedroom layouts I've ever lived in, a beautiful view of the SW Hills & Downtown area, and a nice rooftop. While I did have a few issues with the unit such as garbage disposal and WiFi, the management team here went above and beyond to make sure that it was attended to and fixed quickly. Specifically, Michael the maintence guy, was amazing at his job, very attentive to all the tenants and completed everything quickly and efficiently. I always saw him helping others or doing small projects to improve the building anytime I left my place. He truly was one of the reasons I enjoyed living here because in the past I've lived at apartments where things would be broken for days or weeks - but never here! Additionally Jade, the new leasing manager, did a fabulous job at responding to every concern I had and went out of her way to fix anything that was needed. While I have to move soon due to work, I will definitely look for available units when I come back to Portland. Thank you Muse!

The apparent owner was unwelcoming and unfriendly. The waiter was unhelpful, providing almost no information or background on the wines. The Georgian red wine I ordered was poor. The white wine my partner ordered was passable. The neighborhood is fairly commercial detracting from the anesthetics.

I would highly recommend finding a different apartment complex in the area. I only lived here for about 3 months before there was a fire in the unit above ours and our apartment was flooded from the sprinklers. While this is not the apartments fault, the way they handled it left a lot to be desired. My insurance agent just ended up processing my claim without their confirmation because there is so much turnover of management no one could provide her the very simple information she needed. There’s also no AC (except of course in the lobby where the leasing office is) the washer/dryer is useless, the dishwasher is way too small, and there are hardly any community amenities compared to other apartments in the area. The neighborhood is alright and the views are stunning on the south side, but there also no screens on the giant windows!I understand it’s not the current employees fault, so I hope this review is received as a criticism to of the owner of Muse and not taken out on their employees.

I searched many apartments in Portland and most were totally trash. Some were nice but the overall trend I noticed was that the management seems to be making all the difference. Caitlyn was the tipping point for why I chose to move into the Muse. She seems to really care and will go above and beyond for the patrons. Where all these buildings have a thousand tenants and so you seem to slip through the cracks Caitlyn has made it seem like I am valued.

Was at the Muse for close to two years. I saw change of management a few times, they all were fine. Didn't ever have repairs done though. The area is close to as nice as Portland can get, which isn't much to get excited about. My car got hit while parked, a smashed window once, and randomly dented from a homeless person swinging a bat at parked cars. I had enough and moved to the suburbs. I would recommend paying for parking, but the stacking machine is randomly broken at times.Construction is currently going on one side of the building, once done this will completely destroy the value of those units. The other side, where I stayed had a beautiful view that I really do miss.Unit gets very hot during summer. Walls are a little thin for my liking. Explicit sounds can travel through the air vents at times.Ceiling fans randomly beep and turn on. As one guy wrote, in-unit laundry is useless, it takes hours to dry because it is ductless. One elevator is a little annoying as well.No trash shoot or trash room on your floor. Garbage collection (which they thankfully canceled), meant everyone had their garbage outside in the hall.I would only recommend this place if you're single and don't drive or care about your car. There is plenty of better value found elsewhere in the city.

I scheduled an appointment to tour some apartments here and received many email notices reminding me about my appointment. When I arrived, there was no one in the office and none of my calls or emails were answered, so I sat in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting for someone to show up. I left because I had another apartment tour and still haven’t heard back from anyone. If this is my experience as a potential new resident, I can only guess how frustrating it can be to get help as a resident on a daily basis.

I toured the Muse Portland Apartments in 2020 and immediately fell in love with the design, location, and staff at the time. When I noticed that there were two loft apartments available, I was excited to return to tour and hopefully sign a lease. However, working with Muse Portland Apartments and their team has been a frustrating experience that I hope to avoid in the future. After weeks of emailing and calling Muse Portland Apartments to schedule a tour, I finally received confirmation for a 3:45 PM tour this past week. Excited, I arrived early, called the office to be let in, and was surprised to learn that the voicemail box was full, and nobody was present in the office. A kind resident let me in and mentioned that the staff is often unresponsive and not present.I waited for ten minutes inside, and noticed that the "staff will return by time" sign was set to 10:00, which would likely be the next day. After researching the property management company, I was able to speak with someone there who gave me a number to call. Again, nobody answered, their voicemail box was full. The gentleman at Pinnacle Property Management called me back a few minutes later to tell me they had spoken with the leasing agent, and that it was my fault for being late and having missed the meeting. I reminded him that I was indeed early, and received multiple confirmations about the meeting time that day. The gentleman then explained that the leasing agent was taking lunch, and that they would be back in 40 minutes (one hour after my scheduled time). After some confrontation - since I had first been blamed for the errors - the gentleman apologized and tried to explain the situation to no avail since they clearly made multiple mistakes and then attempted to blame me.Finally, the leasing agent called me to explain "what happened". I appreciated the call, but it was long-winded, didn't make any sense logically, and they offered to send me videos later that night to "make up" for missing the tour.I understand that the industry is short-staffed as of late, but honest communication is vital. I left feeling like I should never live in Muse Portland Apartments, since this level of support dropped the bar to the lowest level possible. I was upset since I had to change my day's schedule multiple times to make this work - to no success.

I honestly don’t know what the developers were thinking building this building without AC in the units. I don’t know what world they thought we were headed towards, but they clearly weren’t paying attention. Spending the Summer here is pretty miserable. Portland is no longer a place that has just a few hot days during the summer, it has been over 85 for pretty much most of the summer and you feel it in the apartment. They have a few ACs they can rent out, but not nearly enough for every apartment. And to top it off, the in unit drying machine doesn’t have regular tube ventilation. All the hot air generated from drying your clothes gets dumped out into the apartment and it’s not very efficient so it takes hours to dry your clothes. Again, I don’t know what the developers of this building were thinking designing it this way. The apartment itself is fine, nothing amazing, but not having AC is a major major oversight, it will make you not happy to be here, I promise. It is just not worth the rent

Had a tour set up- waited for 30 minutes and called multiple times... no response. Was excited to see this place but if they can't even show up for a scheduled tour... at least cancel on me so I don't have to waste my time and money getting there.

Beautiful apartments with a gorgeous Rooftop view of Portland. Incredible closet space and brand new appliances. Walls are thin and the no AC hurt it, but there’s good value. Management is friendly and cares. I would recommend living at the Muse if you can find a deal you like.

Liable for locksmith when I was locked out because there were no emergency services. Parking matrix broke down often and would go days without a fix (good luck getting to work). Ceiling fan frequencies consistently interacted with fans in other units. Not to mention that one of the many managers literally stole people's rent checks.

Rent is too high. Summers are bad, there’s no AC in units despite being a newer building, the fans don’t work properly and will shut off or turn on constantly. If your unit is facing north there will be a new apartment building going up right next to you so don’t expect much of a view. Office managers are leaving every few months. The parking matrix thing seems to have a lot of issues, but I didn’t have a car so I am glad I didn’t have to deal with that. Something to consider though incase you don’t want to be late to work because your parking garage won’t work. Sometime in the first year i lived here, we had a manager stealing money from our rent checks and money orders, and a year later when the company found out, it was a headache for a few weeks having to prove i had paid rent 12 months back.We were told they would be raising rent this previous summer and a lot of us moved out. They ended up not raising the rent and instead lowering it. Rent also fluctuates daily on the website, which seems kind of shady to say a unit is worth $1650 one day and the same unit $1400 the next. I just think pinnacle has a lot of shady practices in general. The real headache came with my deposit which is what prompted me to write this review. They took over 30 days to mail my deposit back to me, and when I received it, I had to basically harass them for an explanation as to why it was only a check for $100. They claimed they took out more than half of my deposit for a “cleaning fee” when i left the place in immaculate condition for a unit that was lived in for 2 years. I cleaned the place for 10 days while moving out, right up until my lease had ended. Should’ve saved my time. I want my money back, and whatever fake concerned reply they add to this isn’t how they actually treat you when you’re dealing with them in real life.

12/6-Another new manager, hopefully one who is either capable or allowed to get service to standard it should be. Office hours still not great but email communication is consistent and that’s more useful for most people.Area still good and following utilities bill was less than first of winter. PGE costs are about $30-40/month for two people in one bed which is good. Hardly any heating required so far.(Around early November) Recently had no floor cleaning for 3 weeks and no apology or formal notice emailed to tenants.First utilities after some colder weather are more than expected.Something worth highlighting is the good Century Link service, simply turn up, create and account and start paying a decent price for reliable internet :)Third update - The office is still not staffed for all posted hours, possible staffing shortages, this is a fairly basic piece of the puzzle so disappointing. Maybe even reduce the hours promised. When we moved in we were not given and emergency maintenance or building contact. After a few months we still haven’t been: this is concerning for several obvious reasons. What do we do in a minor emergency with something as basic as being locked in or out. If we phone a 3rd party are we liable? This should all be made clear at move in and again, shouldn’t be that hard. A slightly more positive note is that utilities for the building seem reasonable though the billing is slow and PGE costs are good too (as below no heating needed yet). Very slow to resolve and issue with the autopay system too but hopefully that will be done soon.Second update - Pinnacle now have a manager in place here who also looks after Corbett Heights (some of the time). This should hopefully get everything on track. Still to get through first months of getting utilities sorted etc. so I’ll see how all that moves along.I would highlight to prospective tenants to remember the layout of the apartments means that some have bedrooms backing onto other bedrooms. Fairly good sound insulation, it is an apartment after all, but just to bear in mind.Every resident I’ve met is friendly and no security worries so far. Location is great and surrounding parks etc. are as good as anywhere.Without AC even the north side apartments get pretty warm/hot on 80+ days. Only particularly bad on 85+. If I’m here over next summer I’ll probably invest in a portable AC unit. Should be very warm in the winter with minimal heating.First update - improved to 3 stars and hopeful of further improvements soon. Pinnacle really need to get either a staff member to take ownership of the management until they get a permanent manager or at least have someone here for the posted hours. This would improve the organisation a great deal. The building is really nice and the roof terrace is a huge plus.My initial review - So far not too great. I will update with more soon.Any new movers should bear in mind the new building that will be next door, to the North, which will shade the Muse quite a bit. No start date known yet. Not made clear at time of touring.
