This store continues to baffle me. The service is consistent… as in rude and disrespectful. Unfortunately, this is the only lumber store close. It’s apparent they do not like dealing with the general public. They did have the product I needed.

Terrible customer service.Walked in and except for the two employees at the counter, not a soul was in the store. One employee glanced at me but neither said a word. Having never been there before I went to the back and didn’t see what I was looking for so I walked back to the counter and asked if they had it. One guy simply shook his head no, the other said nothing.Seriously, if you don’t like providing customer service, perhaps you’re in the wrong line of work.I’ll never shop there again.

Great nail selection. Couldn't find what I needed at big box, but Milwaukie had plenty. Friendly staff. Fair prices.

I don’t like leaving a bad review for an independent business and I’m not, really? It’s just that the counter people seem almost annoyed by questions? Went in looking for some options, ideas for a cedar fence build and was basically just pointed to an isle with assorted hardware? That said, they do have a nice selection but could definitely stand to work on their customer service skills. My questions were not addressed in a helpful way. I walked a block down to Mr. Plywood and found everything I needed, had all my questions answered as well as a lot of friendly advice. But most importantly, I felt that none of my questions were d**** (even though a couple may have been), and left feeling confident about my project. So 3 stars that could turn into 5 stars with a little improvement in the customer service area!

I cant believe they expect the employees to work with no powe and no phones and no heat. Most decent employers would close until the working conditions improved.

I made a large purchase of pressure treated boards from Milwaukie Lumber with the sole purpose of keeping my money local. My lumber was delivered today... I was a little surprised at the drop off technique. The lumber was just rolled off the back of the truck 5 feet from the ground. Sounded pretty rough... and I am certain the wood is absolutely fine, but wanted to make sure ML was aware of the drop and what the procedure was to replace damaged boards, if any. After going thru 3 people on 2 separate calls, ML reassured me that they stand behind their delivery technique and will take care of me as a customer. Overall my experience was good.

Trucks from this company repeatably began work in our neighborhood before 7am (more than an hour before the law says they can) with no permit. The loud banging and backup noises were bad enough, but they also played loud music at 7am and left beer cans all over the lot they were working on and the street adjacent, which means they were likely working with dangerous machinery while intoxicated. If you want to get into your new neighborhood being loathed and face liability lawsuits from injured drunks, hire this company!

these guys are great, just needed a 12" piece of 5/4 x 8 tight grain doug fir for a small project (it looked beautiful) and they gave it to me for free. Need to go back there when I'm looking for some quality wood!
