What a lovely shop! Will definitely be going back there. The clerk was friendly and helpful in showing me how the place works and I was able to purchase several toiletries and products without contributing to wasteful packaging. Also, the prices were affordable. I highly recommend.

I cannot say ENOUGH about this place!First, the prices. I am frugal to a fault. But also really care about what’s in my products. This place meets both of my needs flawlessly. 31$ for toner, enzymatic cleaner, facial masks, soap, bottle brushes, muscle gel, & carpet cleaner? Walmart could never.Second, the staff. The employee working this last trip was so kind and knowledgeable it made it even more fun to stop in! They told me about the flora mask powder I purchased, and its by far my favorite new product! They had great recommendations while also not pressuring in any way. This made it much more accessible for someone with an anxiety disorder who often feels overwhelmed in small stores.A now monthly trip I always look forward to❤️

This is my absolute FAVORITE store in Portland. They have everything you need!! High quality, ethically sourced products with a wide range in variety. They are constantly added more products. Just went in to get some bottles and there was a technical issues with the checkout stand and the employee (didn’t get their name- reddish curly hair) was so swift in handling it, kept their calm and was able to manage all of the customers while figuring it out on the phone with management. Was able to solve it and check me and out and was super kind. Give her a raise!!

I was so excited to discover this Zero Waste shop!! They make it absolutely effortless to eliminate plastic containers for many household goods. I will be stopping in regularly as part of my routine now! This is the positive change we need to see in retail!! :)

I have been trying to reduce my plastic footprint for a few years now, and Mama & Hapa is my go-to place to get my liquid refills.Since I have sensitive skin and am allergic to industrial anti-fungal ingredients, it's nice to know their products have shorter lists of ingredients and my skin won't be irritated.So far I've tried their lavender shampoo, conditioner and rose toner, and I liked them all. They smell good and lather/wash well. The prices are reasonable as well. I filled two containers of shampoo and conditioner plus two bottles of rose toner for 28 bucks. One bit of caution: make sure to do short pauses when you refill the conditioner, as it tends to overflow.The staff also mentioned that a Beaverton location is opening this Fall, which is great so I can get my refill without commuting to their Portland locations.

I'm so happy I found Mama and Hapa's. I've been really happy with their products and love the waste-free aspect. I'm especially happy to have found an effective deodorant in a cardboard tube.

First visit at Mama & Hapa's Zero Waste just today, and definitely 5 stars. Sarah, who works there, was super kind and helpful; they have a great selection of products. Will be back often, the neighborhood is beautiful as well and worth a stroll.
