Lombard Animal Hospital is wonderful and I am so happy to be in the area to visit them. They always take such attentive care with my pup, Russell, and I always know he’s in good hands. They have a responsive text capability and I know they’re always there for him! Highly recommend.

I've been a customer of Lombard Animal Hospital for 15 years, first with my Pomeranian Whitney and now with kitty GusGus. They helped me with acupuncture for a senior dog and her gentle passing. And now with GusGus, I find the staff to be knowledgeable, reassuring and kind. I'm so very happy with the relationship with Lombard and will continue to go there.

There was great communication from the start and a great experience throughout. We were roomed quickly and everyone I interacted with was kind, direct in their communication and explained options thoroughly. The follow up via email outlining next steps was delivered to my email almost immediately.

Dr. Stuie and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, warm, and efficient. I always feel comfortable trusting them in matters of judgement, and it's a comfortable place to ask questions, and be sure my pet is getting what will be best for her.

My daughter got a cat from the shelter. It got sick very fast and when I needed an appointment, they got me right in -very nice people very friendly very helpful. I couldn’t have asked for more I am not sure the cat would’ve made it without their help, but after one day, he seems almost 100% better

I would stay away at all cost. They let my boxer have seizures all day from the time I dropped her off until they told me I could pick her up. They brought her to me in their arms and said she will not be able to go home because they were closing. Take her downtown to the 24 hr vet in NW Portland. She had so many seizures she bit off her tongue.
All this from a surgery to remove her mammory gland, which was negative. But I told them not to touch a tiny pimple on her leg. Guess what, the fools cut into it and it was malignant. So it spread. 6 months later the above seizures.
The vet downtown said she was in the worst shape and we had to put her down. $4k later and no dog. So I had to go home and let her brother, who had never spent a night without her, know she wasn't coming home. He was never the same without her. I will never forgive or forget them.
Garbage hospital! Run!

Best vet ever! They are so professional and caring, even texted with us the next couple day to make sure our cat was doing ok! We plan to switch our other cat over to their care. Great experience.

We have been taking our pets to Lombard for years and we truly appreciate Dr. Stuie and the Lombard team. Dr. Stuie is excellent, thorough, compassionate and takes the time to explain and answer questions. Our kitties are treated like family and we wouldn't go anywhere else. The team, Kristen, Alissin and Sam are always fantastic.

I liked the concise factual approach. Previous test results were reviewed and then options were discussed for going forward. But--I did run into a logistical problem. After the vet appointment, I made a Chewy Rx order with a 30% coupon--this really saves on the expense, especially after an exam visit and bloodwork--but I lost the 30% coupon because the Vet office--did not respond to me in an efficient manner. They called to confirm the dosage on the Rx on Tuesday after my visit when I made the Rx order--"Do I want the 1.5 mg or 0.5 mg." Great. It's the lower dose than the Rx from the Urgent care visit (2 weeks prior)--which is 1.5 mg--but now it's Thursday Eve.
I called several times Tuesday. I couldn't get through to anyone so I texted the number that they list to text and I emailed. Then I texted a photo of the Rx from my previous Vet this was on Tuesday after my appointment. The office is closed on Wed but it's Thursday evening now.
I asked Chewy (this Thursday evening) if my Rx was approved. They told me it was cancelled, so not only did I lose the Rx but I lost the 30% off and my dog is suffering because, he doesn't have his anti-inflammatory for his injury. So, do I have to take him back to urgent care to get a few days medication until I can get his Rx? This communication problem is very frustrating!
How does it feel watching your pet suffer? Not good.
It's almost impossible to get someone on the phone. I did get through once, when I was scheduling Jack to try and get a new patient appointment booked 2 weeks ago because the email response is up to 24 hours.

Front desk staff and vet techs are very friendly and helpful, with both humans and pets. Dr. Stuart Meriwether seems to me to be a science geek (I mean that in a good way!) who is happy to explain details if you want, but can also summarize 'in a nutshell' what's going on and how to treat.

I'm grateful for the care my senior kitty has received with the diagnosis of her kidney/thyroid problems. She's been doing well for 2 years now!
Thank you!
