“Hands down the best convenience store in Portland. I stop in here as much as I possibly can, prices are as to be expected (not too high and not too low). The selection of beverages and snacks is honestly the best in town.
Always good vibes in there plus the owners are a wonderful and sweet family. They all seem to take the time to remember what regulars want and like to make sure those items stay stocked!”
“Has a bad experience here when I first moved to the neighborhood. I've decided that the staff member probably had some stuff going on that day. My experience has been excellent since. This store rocks check it out. Nobody asked me to change my review it's all me.”
“I must say that the owners here are the real deal. Telina has a great pallet for wine. I have never had a bad bottle in this shop. Great descriptions and stories for each bottle. Feels like a charming art gallery without the pretense. Perfect for wine nerds and also perfect for first time buyers that don’t want to get ripped off and could use some kind advice.”
“Good selection good prices, asked where the triple sec was and the guy behind the counter didn't even know what that was, another customer pointed it out though. Wish it had more parking for quick in and out but good place to get stuff when needed.”
“Greatest spot in SE for the drinks one needs as well as other things of the over 21 years of age needs. Only regret I have is never special ordering an actual unicorn ?. Other than that great staff, great prices and close to home for anyone in South East”
“This is the best wine-shop. Full stop. They've nailed it on every dimension: 1) What an incredible, varied, and dynamic selection of wines available! The shelves are always full, and every time I go I find something new and interesting 2) Their prices are so reasonable! I can reliably expect to grab a ~$15-20 bottle that's still going to be really dang good, but it's also fun to go explore around in their rare and vintage wine room for some truly exceptional bottles! 3) Most importantly, the folks working there are so awesome. The new owners are warm, inviting, and SO knowledgeable! Michael is an endless font of information, and so good at giving an informed recommendation, all while somehow *not* being a wine-snob! He and his sweet family make the shop have such a wonderful neighborhood vibe. What a gem of a shop! Can't wait to go back (soon)”

11980 N Jantzen Dr, Portland“I went in the store to look for certain drinks and didn't know where to find as I'm not a drinker, (I was buying as a gift for others) and one of the workers was kind enough to walk me to each drink, he was very patient and had a willing to help attitude. I really felt my anxiety go down. I appreciate his assistance.”
“Our favorite wine shop ever! Great people, great wine selection across price point; approachable, classy, fun, fancy when it's called for---exactly what you'd expect from the folks behind Portland icons Le Pigeon, Canard and the late-great Little Bird (Andy and Sergio of course), but the newcomers to the team all bring their own excellent character too.”
“This is a gem of a wine shop, carefully curated at very reasonable prices. I am glad to live nearby it. Norman is extremely outgoing with his descriptions and generosity of spirit.”
“Stopped in looking for tequila. Average selection of tequila. Most tequila that they have are loaded with additives. Asked for a bottle of Cascahuin Tahona and it was located behind the register.”
“Loved our time at this wine and flower shop! It was perfect for our friend group before our dinner out. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It was so evident that this is a local spot that the neighbors love to have around. Wish there was one where I live!”
“I'll go out of my way to stop here rather than State Line Liquor, prices are about the same, but the staff at Rose City is much friendlier and way more knowledgeable.”

137 SE 28th Ave, Portland“I went in. "I want to buy a gift for a newly married friend: a bottle that'll be good in 1 year, a bottle that'll be good in 2 years, and a bottle that'll be good in 5 years." With that inspiration, we were off on a conspiratorial tour of their selection. What we ended up with was raves from my newly married friend.
Friday night tastings are a delight--and a bargain--and I always end up leaving with a bottle or three of discoveries.
I love going to the Friday nights with my friends, and i love having this resource in my neighborhood! Now if I could just stop losing the punch cards....”
“One of the best stores about. Has plenty of hard to find liquor available and always friendly to help you find what you are looking for. Thank you for being do awesome.”
“What wonderful customer service and true hearted owners to suggest I go somewhere else for a broader wine selection because they are just starting their offerings up. I thought that spoke volumes to their business ethics and personal values. I ended up getting the Portland ? Potato vodka and it was all I needed anyway!”
“Stopped by for the first time as I know many people that love this place. I do too now! All were very welcoming and had a good selection of wines. I had a certain type of wine I was looking for and was given multiple options along with a description by Bryan the Wine Director. I'll definitely be back and recommend The Cellar Door!”
“They sell the vape i always buy at the cheapest i can find them around town, especially if you buy 2. They also have a great selection of all kinds of products. I've bought cigars from here too, and they even seen alcohol so you don't even have to do an extra trip to the convenience store for that.”
“We stopped by to grab a case of random wine never having been in before. I was impressed by the selection and prices. The staff/owner was awesome and very kind to us as well. We will be coming back!”
“The absolute best wine store in PDX. The team is super friendly and helpful no matter your level of wine knowledge. They have something for every price point too!”
“Sizable selection of different wine, cider, beer, and other soft drinks but not as big as the main Multnomah location.I still stop by here every couple of months to stock up the fridge and always end up with more than I expect to leave with. ?They also draft beer with rotating taps and a nice selection of food from the adjacent food carts and TVs inside or a nice cosy patio to enjoy a beer or two.”
“Best neighborhood bar in Portland. Tons of beers on tap and coolers full of options to go or to drink in the bar. Sports on the televisions, decent music playing(depends on who's working). There are plenty of regulars that support this joint but new faces are always welcome. They don't serve food but tons of options close by that you can order and bring in. Indoor and outdoor seating! Lots of bike parking too!!”

3334 NE Killingsworth St, Portland“Ok, so my friend took my debit card to buy some liquor for me, and dropped it inside or outside of this store. When he back-tracked and the clerk (Amber) said that she found it, she wouldn't give it back to him without proper ID, and he felt a little bit butt-hurt over it, because he had to come get me and bring me there with my ID to retrieve the card ... WAY TO GO AMBER!!! ??? I wanted to give her a big tip for being on the ball and requiring proper ID before handing my bank card over to a complete STRANGER, but they don't do cash back, and my buddy was in a hurry, so I didn't think to use their ATM.... SORRY AMBER, ILL BE BACK! AWESOME JOB AMBER, SERIOUSLY!!!! ?????(Oh yeah, I'm expecting a HUGE disability back pay on that account sometime this week, so you saved my butt from getting it replaced, and should see that tip when it hits the bank!)”
“Love this place!! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about wine and has created a fun atmosphere. The cheese plate and burrata are incredible. Highly recommend!”
“The people’s bodega. Is it cheap? No. Are the hours great? No. Does it have a wide assortment of stuff? I mean kind of.But it’s our local corner store. If you need kewpie mayo at 7pm on a Thursday Nu Rite has you.Did you go a little too hard on a Saturday night? Nu Rite has a vast selection of hydration bevvies.Do you need to go a bit harder on a random Tuesday? Get your White Claws here.Nu Rite has me when I’m at my worst, and never judges. They’re a little taste of east coast convenience store culture in the PNW. God bless them.”
“Super friendly staff/owner. Nice selection of wine. Also have some beer and cider available. I hear their lunch sandwiches are good. I regularly stop by for a drink after work. Delightful.”

1430 SE 35th Ave, Portland“Despite the modest sized commercial space, this store has a massive and diverse selection of wine. The prices are very reasonable and it’s impossible not to find something good that will fit within your budget. The man in charge was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this over places like Fred Meyer and encourage everyone to visit!”
“We booked the Wine Cellar for a big family birthday party on a Sunday afternoon. It was a great choice. Mandy and Kendra arranged for food and dessert and both were elegant, delicious, and exactly the vision we had for the occasion. The venue is lovely. At the last minute our photographer fell through and they were able to find a nearby photographer on short notice. Service and ambiance were superb. Oh, and did I mention that the wine and other drinks were excellent. Everyone had a great time. I would strongly recommend that you consider the Wine Cellar for your private party!
Wheelchair accessibility: Location is wheelchair accessible with parking nearby.”
“Had A Great Experience, Great Customer Service And Got To Meet The Owner And Tried His Favorite Tequila, Came Home With 2 Bottles Of It And Other Great Selection Of Tequila For My Needs, Highly Recommend And Will Be Back Soon.”
“I my mind I live here now. No duds - the people, the wine, the place. All my fav wines are now from ardor. Chillable reds? Check. Orange wines for all seasons? Check.
The wine club is fun and approachable.
Can't wait to try them all.
My wallet may hurt a bit (to be clear the wine is reasonably priced lol), but my tastebuds have never been happier.”
“Love this place! They have a good selection of fruity and sour beers, which are my favorite's. The food truck selction is a small selection, but a good one. They have a nice hand washing station outside. The only thing I don't like is they ask for a tip when they don't serve you at your table or anything.”
