My family has been a member of the Lil Starts CSA for a few years now, and I have always been impressed with the quality and variety of the veggies in the share. I love that they deliver for a very reasonable price and they are great about communication on the rare occasions that delivery schedules need to be adjusted for excessive heat or smoke. I took this picture of the first delivery of the season last year. Sweetest and most flavorful carrots you'll ever eat. It only gets more bountiful in peak season.

Great veg, great people. It's a pleasure to A) support local family farming and B) pick up a CSA box of fresh seasonal produce, then have the fun of deciding what to eat first and how to prep it. (Slice and roast the black radish til it's crispy ... so good!)

We are obsessed with the service that this wonderful CSA provides the community. We are a family that loves to cook vegetables as part of every meal. The amount of variety that we get has put us in the position of having to learn about vegetables that we have got eaten before.I would strongly recommend that anyone who values what they eat and how it is sourced to sign up fast. The vegetables come clean and bountiful.

Small starts are very expensive and not a variety

I ordered some of their starts - multiple types of tomatoes, basil and cucumber. They were a little more expensive than a few places I've shopped. However, I was very pleased when I received my plants. They were vastly larger and healthier than other starts I purchased. They put in far more work, and the price was easily justified. I'll be purchasing from them again.

Luke and Lily are very friendly and hardworking farmers. Their veggies are beautiful and vibrant, and the variety selection for annual and perennial starts is excellent. We joined their CSA last year after moving to the neighborhood. We are so happy we did! Luke and Lily's cucumbers are the best I've ever tasted, and the heirloom melons were a great treat , also our daughter loves the radishes. We're all looking forward to another summer of locally grown goodness. Thank you!

I've enjoyed my first box of fresh produce from Lil' Starts: 3 bags of spring greens with fresh herbs mixed in; a dozen eggs, a colorful bouquet of irises, columbine and other spring flowers that I couldn't identify, a handful of edible flowers and farm made herbal tea. I picked my box up at the farm, but I had my choice of two farmers markets for pick up, too. It's convenient and fast. Lily, one of the owners, greeted me and showed me where my box was waiting for me. Lil' Starts' communication is clear and consistent: I receive an email every Sunday before my Saturday pick up on what to expect in the upcoming box. I signed up for a full share for every other week, which seems perfect for 2 people. I'm glad that participating in Community Supported Agriculture is so easy and delicious with Lil' Sarts--it's a prepaid up front in January affair, so it can feel like a bit of a risk. Trust me--it's a risk I'm glad I took because the pay off is wonderful, fresh food, and I'm supporting a local farm. Yes, I could do the same through farmers' markets, and I have. But this experience, and getting to see the farm and meet the farmers is important to me-- it's also a glimpse into how I grew up. The website for this farm indicates that the CSA shares are sold out for the 2018 season, which stretches from May to October. I can hardly wait for my next box and to see how the growing season expands into the next eating adventure.

I LOVE Luke and Lilly's farm. We signed up for our very first ever CSA share after purchasing their produce at Kenton's Farmers Market. I was able to request no kale (my least favorite food in the whole world!) in my share which was not a problem for them. Great people, great veg and the best pickled carrots by far. They also offer Bread and Herb, egg, flower bouquet and plant start CSA's.
