I took my dog into Lexidog on Macadam yesterday to have her nails clipped. Two dogs were being groomed at the time. Both of the groomers were being so ruff and seemed to have no compassion for the dogs at all. It was so sad. The lady who helped me was rude and I didn't like the way she handled my dog. I will not be going back.

I just adopted our goldendoodle from Oregon Dog rescue they are awesome by the way figured I would stop into lexidog to find out about grooming. My girl is matted but not very bad and explained that we do not want her shaved. The manager was extremely rude through the whole conversation saying that no matter where I go they will shave her totally talked badly about Petco which I didn't appreciate. I will not be taking my baby there.

I do NOT recommend! I used to work at the Pearl location (now closed), and I was appalled at how poorly run this business is. Daycare is too small for 40+ dogs, there are no planned activities, dogs get bored and bark all day, and then get screamed at by the clueless staff. Dogs get hurt and their injuries are not seen and taken care of right away. There are safety concerns for the staff and dogs, some negligence and sanitary issues. There are questionable management methods, disrespectful staff members, unethical treatment of staff by the owner, an unorganized system, and outdated business practices. There is a high turnover of employees, no training offered in dog behavior or first aid, constant miscommunication between staff members, and passive management who refuse to fix ongoing problems. All the incompetence at this business constantly puts the dog's safety at risk. On a daily basis during nap time some dogs are put into crates, then stacked on top of each other and put in a small closet with the door closed for over an hour! I was blamed for something that I didn't do, was screamed at and told by management that I couldn't leave, it was traumatizing. The owner has questionable judgement, and uses manipulation and intimidation to control her employees. The owner doesn't give the employees their tips! Not a safe place to take your dog and a terrible place to be employed. Over 10 years of being in business and they still do not have their act together! Suzanne, you need to do better and treat other women with respect. Your business is failing because of your incompetence.

We have been going to lexidog for grooming for years! We have had multiple groomers, and they are all great. They're also reasonably priced and allow flexibility in pick up time. We drop in the morning as others have mentioned. Typically they are available for pick up around 5 - but they're always happy and tired afterwards, like a day a doggie daycare! We will continue to be long term clients. Special shout out to Crissy for being so amazing our last several groomings!

I took my two Standard Poodles to this overbooked and disorganized "salon" yesterday with an appointment at 9:30 for the first time. The groomer was 15 minutes late. The desk staff said she was stuck in traffic and the groomer said she had to pick up dogs on the way. Hmm. I went over my grooming needs with her and left to open my little business late because of she was late.At 4:00 pm I had not heard from them and called where they stated my dogs had not even made it to the grooming table yet: 6.5 hours later!!!! I was, then, informed that my "appointment" was not that. It was a drop off time and they get to the dogs for that day whenever. This was not explained to me up front. I did not get my dogs back until 6:45 that night. My dogs spent most of that day in Kennels!!!!! Sounds like abuse to me. And the kicker, they took a 25.00 deposit to even make the appointment. Guess what, they did not fold that into my final bill. They just kept it. I had to call back to get it. The cut had lawn mower lines down the back, the head pouf is crooked and slanted to the side. Also, there are several tufts of hair sticking out of one of the dog's side.Good Luck out there! Ill pass on this one FOREVER!

Heather does a very good job grooming my cat. I went to petco once when she was on vacation and my cat looked INSANE. made me appreciate Heather all the more. The business itself smells horrific and I can't speak to the boarding or daycare. But for grooming I'd recommend.

We will not be returning.I took my dog here for a daycare try out which he passed. When we returned for our free two hour session I got a call saying that he had an incident with a Boston Terrier puppy and needed to be picked up. My dog is a 90lb German shepherd, so my first question was why on earth he would be in an area with a Boston Terrier. They never answered that other than to tell me that the puppy had just gotten there. Nobody at the facility could explain the incident to me, other than to say the other dog wasn't hurt and was playing still. We returned for grooming services today and I was called when he was ready to be picked up. I was immediately asked if he was "good with other dogs". I explained he's been there before and was asked not to come back to daycare. She said they could hold him until I got there. When I went to pick him up I was given a lecture about being charged a $20 handling fee next time because they "had to clear out an entire back room for him". Again, he has been there before so why it wasn't mentioned at the booking that they have no additional space for dogs being groomed is beyond me. Also, why would I want my freshly groomed dog to immediately be put in daycare?I was asked to go around the back and wait for him but the stairs. I waited 10 minutes in 33 degree weather before pounding on the door. I was finally brought my dog... his ears were not cleaned and he was still wet. Do not take your dog here.

Our dog is double coated and was completely shaved to the skin multiple times (for no reason other than they did not have a “long enough guard” for their clippers) by a Lexi Dog groomer. Not only did they give her razor burn, this has resulted in extreme hair loss. Her coat will not grow back in fully, it is very patchy and fine, and it’s been years now since they first shaved her. NEVER take your double-coated dog here. The environment in these places is also extremely loud, there are too many dogs crammed into small spaces, causing a lot of stress and anxiety for everyone. Overall bad experience and will be likely dealing with the consequences for years to come.
