In 1988 (yes, more than 25 years ago) I bought a Leatherman Micra. I put it on my keyring. Over the years keys have come and gone, but the Micra remains clean and sharp. That is a long EDC history. This history puts my Micra as my oldest EDC with no competition even coming close.Thank you Leatherman! ?

He's not the same leatherman he used to be. The new prices are inversely proportional to the quality of the new tools. Worse materials, worse designs. I have the impression that someone in the company's management has come to the conclusion that continuing to produce durable tools is unprofitable

My first Leatherman model was the prototype PST. Owned it since 1985. Acquired it through Marlboro Miles program. I collected the miles tags to get it. I don't and didn't smoke, coworkers. I sent it in in 2010 for the replacement of the file. Leatherman sent me a 200 model because they said they misplaced my original tool. Lately, I tried to contact Leatherman about my Wave Tool's broken knife blade for a replacement. No response to see if I could order it to purchase it. Photo shows missing blade. I own the model 300 Leatherman also.

Customer service is IMPOSSIBLE. If you mush have this brand order from a different retailer. Requesting a return so far has involved 2 emails, and hour on hold and waiting 3 hrs on chat.....

Got a gift for my husband online with two (charged($$)) engravings. Got the item, missed one engraving. Called them: First the person who amswered denied my ordered had engravings, then he "found it" and startrd a return process to add what was missing from my order. They said they would add the engraving, I just had to send it through UPS, which I did. Got the item back, no engraving... wrote them back, and they basically told me "tough luck" and did not offer me to give me the refund on that ONE ENGRAVING.... had to ask them for the refund... got the refund, not the amount I paid for. I know they have great tools and thats why I bought the Signal Multitool from them... but customer service and everything else have made this experience one I will regret.

Called six times and kept getting promos after promise I would get a call back about my inquiry. Lo and behold I waited and waited longer than the time frame promised and never received anything. Unorganized and unprofessional.

I think everyone should carry a Leatherman tool with them daily, model depending on your needs.I've never had a bad experience with Leatherman however I do wish they hadn't discontinued the crunch 005 as it would be a best seller and would be wonderful company promotional gifts for bonuses and such.

I have carried a Leatherman tool for years and have always considered it an essential. As a professional automotive technician I find a way to use it on nearly every job that comes through the shop. I from my first Juice as a young man to my current Charge TTI, as well as super tools and surges that I’ve used, every Leatherman is a well-crafted instrument.

???!!! I my say, I’m impressed with Learherman!!! For those reading, I have two stories… one, I purchased a Leatherman Tread sometime ago, I lost one of the screws and contacted them and hopes to get a replacement, and they stated they would send me for, and when I received my package from them there were six. Number two, I somehow broke one of the claws off of my pliers to their Leatherman Wave Plus, including the micro screwdriver that I accidentally broke as well, attempting to open it, and realized it was more fragile than I thought. They replaced both. I have a strange feeling I am going to gift my Wave Plus to my 14 year Daughter, and then get myself the Leatherman Surge.

This is a SHOUT OUT to all those wonderful people at LEATHERMAN who have helped me!I am an elderly person who has been able to fix almost everything for most of my life. From my 1950 V8 Ford to the complexities of an iMac computer few mechanical objects have refused repair. To those where I live, I am known as Mr. Fix-It. Always stressing to anyone who will listen “There is a right tool for every job” – and saying to them that my LEATHERMAN tools have never failed to perform. With age comes not only wisdom, but hands that do not work as they did when I was 20, and that was a VERY long time ago. Recently I asked LEATHERMAN to help with a tool that had become difficult to use. Many companies have forsaken customer service to enhance their bottom line, but not LEATHERMAN. They are committed to excellent quality standards for their tools and promote Accessibility in their workplace and making tools that can be used by people who have difficulty with their hands.A replacement tool was sent out from the factory that will allow me to continue to help others and myself to repair small appliances and be that wonderful ‘Go-To’ tool that eliminates the need to open up the big tool box.To all those I spoke to on the phone and through email and everyone behind the scenes, THANK YOU for all you have done for me!Mr. Horwitz

Leatherman’s Customer Service and quality have gone down as pricing gone up.Cannot recommend unless you aren’t paying. If your job will pay for their tools and deal with returns or repairs—go ahead. If not, buy something cheaper and return it to Home Depot or Wherever if it breaks.I doubt it is their people as many seem very charming. Suspect Tim Leatherman and management are the problem.

I've had a Leatherman for years and my Wave finally degraded to being difficult to use with a few broken pieces. I sent it in for warranty and had a pretty flawless experience. I'm guessing my Wave was too borked for repair so they sent back a Wave+ which I'm pretty stoked about.
