Labcorp could employ a few humans to facilitate the check in and lab process. At current pay scales, how much could that be? $20/hour might save hours of frustration for patients. Previously a clipboard and sign-in with a pen worked just fine. Now there is a major procedure just to check in, and many seniors have difficulty with this. I arrived at 6:30am and stood in line, watching 5 people struggle with the check-in kiosk. An immigrant woman at the kiosk could not complete her check-in until a patient stepped up to help her. Once I was called, I was told there was no order for my blood test. Nurse checked 'up front' but could not find an order, though my doctors office submitted the order the afternoon prior. My 'claim' was met with disbelief and just a little hostility. I feel sorry for the staff who must deal with these inefficiencies. I left without a blood test, and will reschedule at the Legacy location, since I have that option. Hopefully it is a more positive experience.

St. Vincent Hospital is now using this new company which sadly it's extremely slow and the customer service has declined. Be ready to wait a long time before they can call you in.

Hard to schedule appointments, complicated check in process, especially for senor person. You have to answer the same questions on the screen
during scheduling and checking in, scan ID cards. How 87 year old person can do it? This lab is discriminating against senior people and people with disabilities, making the process of getting to the lab so complicated! Even with appointment we have to wait long time! What is the point of scheduling this appointment? It was much better lab under Providence ownership! Very sad

After waiting 90 minutes, they inform me that they don't have my lab orders. I've been hearing the same from several others who have been waiting.

The staff here have been great! My first visit I had my lab order as a PDF and was able to send it to them by email - glad they gave me a heads up that it can take a while to receive the emails though! On my second visit I had trouble with the check-in kiosk, which I wasn't expecting but they had the right info from my doctor's office so it worked out fine. I haven't had to wait longer than an hour to get labs done so far (both times during a weekday, so that probably helped!)

Provider ordered a CMP, part of standard annual exam. Labcorp billed out the panel as 12 individual tests, bilirubin, etc. Therefore my insurance did not cover it. Shady billing practices.

They drew the wrong ordered lab for my mother in-law!

It’s amazing how bad this Labcorp is with technology. The website is terrible and kiosk don’t work. I waited a 1.5 hours to drop sample that was supposed to refrigerated. The people working there are nice but once I got to my appointment 5 techs were standing around chatting.

Waited 3 hours after checking in at 930. Saw multiple people go in before me even though they got there after me.
Their system isn’t working.

As if this lab couldn't get worse, they now make you scan your ID and insurance. Check in is absent of humans, with three machines taking up a wall that once held the overflow of people waiting for their turn at the needle. They are horribly slow and the waiting room is full every time I come here.
This is what it looks like when one for-profit giant leases out its responsibilities to another for-profit outfit: patients, who should be the cornerstone of a hospital's concern, are again left to bear the weight of profit over compassion.
As an aside, I've been sitting here watching staff call people in. Because of the huge wait and poor instructions for tasks like dropping off samples, there are many people with questions. Most have been met with really inappropriate "customer service," including disdainful facial expressions, impatient voice tones (simply rude), shutting their eyes while someone is clearly seeking help, repeating themselves with the exact same language (rather than engaging in actual conversation...).
It's very clear where patients rate here. We are all just a bother to Labcorp. They get our insurance company's money regardless of the quality of their service, and patients are basically trapped if they want their blood test entered into mychart.

This lab is exhausting, I went in at 6:15am for a 12 hour fasting blood test for my testosterone levels which have been unusually high, not a good sign for a 63 year old man, symptoms of an underlying condition…tonight at 9pm I received results for for a post menopausal woman, wow, really? And they weren’t testing her testosterone levels yikes. This kind of error makes me question all the testing this lab does! Unacceptable to say the least and very alarming. I will now have to fast again and go for another blood draw, leaves in the pool problem I realize, I’m grateful to be alive, have insurance etcetera but this kind of inefficiency is again ALARMING!

Had a lab draw today. We waited 3 hours, diabetics were complaining of blood sugar drops due to the wait which for some was beyond our 3 hour wait. One woman had her husband drop her off, he went to OHSU for his lab draws and came back with a 2 hour wait afterwards. The worst part was the young woman who drew my blood. She wore no gloves, sprayed blood all over me and had her mask down around her chin. The lab area had garbage in corners and the staff was openly complaining about the people waiting. This was one of the worst experiences I have had with lab draws. I used to think Providence, St. Vincent Medical Center was a good hospital. Not so sure of it now.

Wait time is unacceptable. Hours long.

If I could rate this lower than one star, I would. I called them twice, literally begging them for help ( I had a 48 hour window to get my test), and NEVER heard back from them. I am informing my employer tomorrow to never suggest them as an option again.
