The promos you see for opening an account with direct deposit don’t work, and when a branch representative tells you they can add a different promo that you should have also qualified for, it doesn’t work either. Poor customer service and do not follow through on promises. Overall very poor experience and large waste of time, and I don’t trust that KeyBank would follow through on other financial issues.Edit: I came today to talk with a banker about my concerns again, and she said (without looking anything up) that I had probably not set up direct deposit in time (which is not correct), and that I could close my account at the front desk with the teller, which I did. After being contacted by KeyBank customer service (see the response to this comment below), they said there was nothing they could do because I had closed the account.So, this particular branch especially makes me very frustrated as they directed me in the wrong direction twice.

I am a new business owner doing concrete construction for less than a year. Key Bank at Gateway has made me feel at home. The manager, Tip and her team have given all the support to help me establish my business accounts which means a lot. With the same situation, OnPoint has rejected my credit card applications…never want to bank with OnPoint any more.This Key bank got the best service to a business owner’s need, like me. Please give it a try, small but sweet service. ??

WORST DRIVE THRU EVER. It took me 20+ minutes to make 1 cash deposit for less than $1000. I would give negative stars if it was an option (Sorry Kim you are probably only doing your job but a very frustrating experience. I just dont know why there are different rules for drive thru vs walk in). I usually walk in to make my deposit but the rain was really coming down so I used drive thru as I thought it would be convenient. I WILL NEVER GO THRU THE DRIVE AGAIN. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. Key Bank is NOT my Personal bank and I would never use them. I often make deposits for the small company that I am office manager. I usually go INSIDE the bank. BUT today IN DRIVE THRU I had to give my drivers license and then tell them my full address. After that they asked for my Social security number, phone number, company name and my work title. (I am not sure if it is legal for them to ask me my Social security number just to make a deposit)....IF YOU MUST USE THIS BANK I SUGGEST GOING INSIDE. DON'T USE DRIVE THRU!!!

Started a business account with them. The Manager Dave was great to deal with and was very helpful in navigating the process. I dealt with two other banks, River View Community bank and Wells Fargo they get 0 stars in customer service. Good people

Just find the next nearest branch because no one here is interested in being helpful, but they do love to give attitude. Screw this, I’m just driving the extra 20 minutes to go to the Woodstock branch. The employees THERE are great!

Key bank is one of the biggest scammers I've ever dealt with! It was so bad that I closed my account with them! Then I had a concert ticket refund to my closed account and it's like pulling teeth to get my money back from them! It's absolutely ridiculous!!!

Bad and illegal experience! At the time i was receiving disability payments they garnished my account for $3,183. I explained to the manager that in 2011, the Feds passed a law that made it the financial institutions’ responsibility to look back on an account 2 months prior to make sure there were no other finds going into an account. They did not do that... and let the garnishment through. I wrote letters made phone calls... and was treated like garbage!
