The best thing about this hotel is the location. So many great spots to eat and shops within walking distance. In my view, the hotel is not worth the price. Front desk staff are not friendly - the person who checked me in made zero small talk, just transactional. Staff barely said hello. The rooms are fine but you can hear noise in the rooms above, in the hallway, and from the lounge. There was also a wedding when I was there and it was very loud and went very late. I brought this up when I checked out and the staff didn't appear to care and didn't offer anything (not even to comp my parking or something small). There are no amenities at this hotel (not even in-room coffee). Again, not a big deal if the price was half what it is (I paid $1,300 USD or $1,800 CAD for 4 nights, including parking). I would not stay here again.
Nearby activities: There us a quaint Italian restaurant on Burnside called Luce. It's a 15 min walk from the hotel and has excellent food, vibes, and service. They don't take reservations but it's worth the wait.

Great location with easy access to downtown, very friendly staff and service. The rooms and facilities were nice, clean and comfortable. For sure we will be back next opportunity in Portland. Thank you so very much to the whole staff.
Rooms: Very comfortable

We had an amazing experience hosting our wedding reception at the Jupiter NEXT. The ballroom, cocktail lounge, and bamboo garden were the perfect size for 170 guests. Eden was incredibly helpful in drawing up the floor plan, as she provided a "typical" layout for the cocktail lounge and garden, but we were able to make the ballroom layout our own. Eden and Jake were very responsive to our multitudes of questions and were quick to address any issues that came up. Many of our guests traveled from out of town, so it was really convenient to set up a large room block at the Jupiter NEXT and have so many of us hanging out around the hotel during our wedding weekend. There are so many cool spaces beyond just the reception venue to gather in small groups!
We really wanted to emphasize the beauty and vibes of Portland for our wedding guests, and the Jupiter NEXT was the perfect choice, as it's in a happening part of town with clubs, restaurants, and breweries, has local artwork in all the rooms, and has great views of downtown and the West Hills.
We were so impressed by the staff as well who set up the space- they brought our vision to life, and it was so nice being able to walk into the reception with everything set up exactly how we wanted it, without having been there to direct. Jupiter NEXT also provides their own furniture, so they saved us a lot in rental costs. Ultimately, Jupiter NEXT is incredible bang for your buck, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to get married in Portland.

Jupiter Next was a fantastic wedding venue. The space was modern and fun, and we got lots of positive comments from our guests. Eden helped us through the entire wedding preparation, and was so patient answering all my nit-picky questions. The onsite staff was absolutely incredible on the wedding day, they made sure all our other vendors had what they needed for a successful day. My husband and I stayed onsite and our suite was very comfortable. We did hear a lot of noise from the road and other guests, so consider earplugs if you're staying overnight!

I wanted to like Jupiter Next, but it wasn't for me. It's got a good vibe and is well located. It's also pretty expensive for the quality of the room you get, especially compared to other area properties. The rooms weren't anything special, there are some weird design decisions, and the shower ran "not-hot."
It was also so, so loud. Well past midnight both of the nights we were there (admittedly on the weekend). We're not sure if it was the bar downstairs or club(s) across the street, since we didn't go searching for the source.
We did manage to find free street parking for our whole stay, which I think will only be possible on the weekends. There were paid options that weren't totally clear partly due to not being able to hear the front desk worker well (a combination of them mumbling, hotel noise, and probably my own hearing issues), but it worked out.
I will say if you intend on staying out late and/or partying, this is a great place to do it. But if you just want to chill or expect decent sleep, maybe stay somewhere else.

I didn't stay there; I attended their fantastic outdoor concert and their indoor market, which was full of diversity

We went over to the Jupiter Hotel 20th Anniversary Block Party, listened to some music, visited vendors, and had brunch at Jupiter Hey Love. In 2007, when the original Jupiter was just a baby, we stayed there on our honeymoon. So I'm going by 17-year old memories in the old place with my stars. But we did get to look around the new building, which was quite lovely, and the brunch was delish. Top-notch non-alcoholic cocktail menu.

Nice hotel, the bathroom situation is a little different but water pressure and temp were both good. It's a little too hip for my old self but still a decent hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful with suggestions and parking questions.

Loud, lack of in room coffee maker, poor chairs to sit in…overall lots of “style” over substance. Sigh.

TLDR: Rude, unpleasant, uncompromising staff. If you need to make last minute trip plans, i.e. have a sick relative, do not stay here. THEY WILL NOT COMPROMISE. ANTI PORTLAND ESTABLISHMENT. Do not let the BLM, pride, branding fool you, this is a capitalist establishment with no compassion nor care for anything but the bottom line.
WHAT HAPPENED:
I had a family emergency so I rebooked then cancelled my stay and was still charged despite being a repeat customer. I have cancelled at other hotels the day of due to a visa issues with no problem.
I had emailed confirmations of my stay modification as well as my booking cancellation that states I cancelled for the modified date. When presented with this information the manager appeared clearly flustered.
After that the phone call was no longer productive. Any attempt at further reasoning and the manger would parrot "you keep changing your story". Even after mentioning my family emergency she called that a "story change."
I am not sure why the original person I spoke to would not note that in our initial call. I lead with that, please talk to your co worker and ask her about my alleged story change.

It is cool, it shows its age though. The bar scene has become low class. But still an awesome place.

Great experience. Clean and pretty. Modern. Big windows, comfy beds. Love the outside lounges and patios. Love the modernized systems like texting the front desk, scanning a QR code to tip my cleaning person. Everyone really friendly and helpful. I appreciated the safe garage parking at a reasonable rate. I’d definitely stay there again!
